Short stay while visiting friends in hull. All you can eat buffet breakfast £11. Basic meals which were pretty good in the evening. Rooms are very comfortable , clean and a reasonable size. We will stay here again .
Beautiful place. Lovely clean environment and friendly staff. Great experience, the food portion was fantastic and very well organised and presented. Good value for money. Everyone looked happy to be there. Highly recommended
The Carvery is very poor. The Chef does not operate a clean utensil policy and cross contamination is plain to see. Knives are not swapped for different meats and all surfaces are rife with old food and flies. The coffee area is also full of flies and all surfaces are greasy or full of spilt sugary drinks. Very poor.
It was pleasant enough. Not many people about and intermittent Sun in the beer garden. Sometimes when it is busy they can get very regimented holding people up just inside and directing them like cattle, but today no problem. The barman was polite and reserved and the barmaids where very charming they saved the place really. Car parks rather cramped and it lead on to very dangerous roads.nPity there was only Doom Bar regarding real ales, it is a bit rubbish. However the chips I got were very good. Great beer garden for outdoor drinking and a variety of different areas to go, including an adventure play ground.nFor myself to get more stars they need to get a decent real ale selection, sort out the ash trays outside and being being so corporate. A number of months ago I dropped in early for a breakfast and it was self serviced, a real disappointment.
We went to this Brewers Fayre with some friends who are from the town. We were pleasantly surprised that they have a big outside play area with slides and swings. Our children 9girl&3boy really enjoyed it. Food was good, we ordered kids menus and for us Fish&Chips and Smothered Chicken. I can say that this is the first time that the Fish&Chips was done correctly. What I mean by that is fish wasn't mushy. The chicken was tender and just enough crusty. With everything of course there are some bad parts. The table wasn't clean, you know when you sit down and the table is sticky even if it's clean....yeah...also the outside area some of it wasn't taken care of but I can say that the people servicing were very polite and helpful.
