We traveled 150 miles to Windermere to rent a boat and it has been under maintenance until next year despite it supposed to be open according to their advertisements, website and Google. They said sorry. Much better.

Ace friendly service. Hired a boat, cheaper than the rest and relaxed approach to usage. Boat trip was pretty nice but could be a bit hairy if the lake is busy I guess. Thankfully we were out of prime season. Also, competitive price!

I've hired a boat from Quays Marina. Lovely people. And the boats are a bit bigger and faster and a bit cheaper. It matters. I have previously (a day before) hired a boat from rival company at the very centre of the town. It was a big disappointment. First I wanted to hire a boat for 4 hours so I can go to see the other side of the lake, at least the north part so I've been told I can hire a boat for 2 hours and come back wait on the queue and re-hire a boat for another 2 hours if available. On the wall in the office there was half a day boat hire £88 deal. So I did that and the second boat was moving very very slow so my dream of going to the other side of the lake was postponed for the next day when I found Quay Marina.

They recently went to the trouble of digging out their copy of a 3 month old receipt so I could return some shoes to Crocs. Very helpful.
