The Tesco doesnt really suit the town as it is so quaint and full of independent businesses and the tesco is a very modern looking building, i can imagine a lot of people arent happy with it. however it is in a very useful location to grab snacks whilst staying in B&B. Large selection of snacks aswell as other groceries - a lot of produce goes reduced as not sold as most customers are tourists just wanting to grab a quick sandwich and drink. Also stocks Kendall cake bars which was a nice souvenir and not available in all tescos.

Me and my girl friend who show up at the counter buying a bunch of groceries with 2 cans of bailey latte. I showed the guy my ID and then the guy look at my girl friend and started asking her ID as well. My girl friend didn't bring the ID and the guy refused to sell me the bailey on Christmas eve and he explained that it was tesco's rule. I am wondering if next time I show up with all my friends, is tesco going to ask for all my friends ID as well? Whoever made this rule is stupid, if I am going to buy alcohol for under age we wouldn't both show up at the cashier. For ruining somebody's holiday, I think this one star totally worth it.

Very busy, poor selection of items, grubby - co-op nearby stocks a much better selection of fresh items and is a more pleasant experience altogether.
