Food was icey cold. Was disgusting. Staff urghh one member was playing with her dirty hair then touching food and straws straight after. Giving us dirty looks. Not polite at all either. Went for a cigarette went straight back in without washing her hands and touching food yet again. Never going back again. And the price of food for the amount you get is ridiculous. Especially coming out like it hadn't been cooked and handled with dirty hands. Made me feel sick.
One star given as there is not a 0 star option available. Bought a burger which was served still raw in the middle, probe was not used to ensure correct temperature of food. Staff were grubby looking and the shop was not clean. I don’t recommend this place especially if your feeding kids.
Went today. Cost £23 for 3 meals. No coffee. The burgers were under cooked and cold. The restaurant was dirty. The staff were rude. It wasn't that busy but it was not staffed enough. God help when it full season! Won't be going again!!!
I love wimpy but this is not a good representation at all. Chips tasted like they had been cooked in lard. Burger no sauce and bun for quarter pounder was not in a brown fluffy bun but a white flat burger bun. Avoid this place still have after taste... yuck.
Food was nice. Price was bad. £10.60 for a double quarter pounder meal, and they charged extra for cheese on it even though the picture has cheese on it. Charged for bacon even though I did t want bacon. Charged 50p extra for a bottle of water even though it was a meal. Not cheap. But nice food.
We visit a Wimpy whenever we travel somewhere in the Uk and also go out of our way to find one when we go, but the experience we had at Wimpy porthcawl should have the franchise stripped from the owner. We know what to expect with Wimpy and I even worked for them as a teenager, and these guys have no clue. The place was dirty, unmaintained. The food took over 25 minutes to cook and when we got it, the Chips were cooked in oil that was obviously months old, they were limp, brown, greasy and had an disturbing odour. they were not the correct chips from the distributor, and I suspect bought from some supermarket. The burgers were dry and overcooked, and anyone who is a fan of Wimpy knows there are no tomatoes in a quarterpounder with cheese. The onion was not from the distributor dehydrated minced onions either and was a red onion cut up in huge chunks. the bun was stale & flat and the cups smelt that they've been in damp storage for some time. Even though the hygiene rating says 4 outside, I never saw the guy wash his hands once and was talking to people when we entered and no effort to clean tables or surfaces had been made. I really regret my visit there and had reservations when entering, but my love for a wimoy took over, and was left feeling ill and disappointed. ps. no one ate the chips, or drunk the drinks, and the kids left most of their burgers.
clearly didnt want our service. waited over 20 minutes to get served and person was too busy on Mobile phone . didnt look very clean . i would not give a 4 star hygiene rating for the place . more like a 1 . very run down . holes in floor. flies everywhere by serving area. no toilets either . drove over 40 miles to this place not to even get served .
Absolutely shocking bought £27 worth of meals for 3 children 3 menu meals asked for some ketchup only to be told 20 or 25 pence each!!! mac Donald's always give you more than you need ! never go there again, the burgers were ok ish not worth the money at all, staff are useless..
Nothing like the Wimpy I remember growing up. The food is average at best, there's limited seating, one baby chair for the ~4 tables available and wow is it expensive. If you're on the beach check out the chippy on the other side of the arcade instead.
Terrible experience there today tables were dirty staff didn't seem to no what they were doing! Couldnt seem to figure out my change of £20! Also I had to tell them the price of food I wanted took ages to come and my chicken sandwich was cold, all the rest of the food was greasy. Will not be coming back here.
