I came here as spur of the moment and I was not disappointed. Food is very fairly priced and large portions. I had small cod and chips and the cod was the length of the plate! Lovely staff and I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. Thank you! :
Really good value for money and the food is very good, I had liver and bacon and my partner had the home made pie staff were amazing and I ended up staying a lot longer than I was supposed to stay, definitely be going back
Very poor. Sunday lunch swimming in gravy to hide the fact the meat is probably deli meat. Couldn’t even find mine- veggies absolutely destroyed as well. Scores on the door 3 and flies in the dining room too- in October. It was so busy in there that we had high expectations but definitely disappointing. The only things that’s great about the place was the serving staff who were hard working and very welcoming. The only highlight of our visit.
Visited during Elvis Festival 2022. We had booked a table for food necessary - pub was incredibly busy but all staff very cheerful & helpful; regularly reminding punters there was a second bar through the restaurant AND a cash bar outside & BBQ serving food near tent in car park. Although a kind of one-way system had to be maintained, most people followed this easily and efficiently without additional help. Wheelchair access was available. Food excellent & arrived very quickly. Some problems with the EFTPOS card m/c. No WiFi in pub.
They open at 12 noon, fantastic place to have a meal been there today on the Tuesday they have special offers my wife and myself had a Tuesday mix grill what a meal lovely and freshly cooked 5star plus for the meal staff very friendly plenty of parking outside disable friendly for wheelchair and scooters but it's a popular place I can see why now highly recommend and I think they do Sunday lunch but phone first

Nice pub. Food is very pub grub, you get what you pay for. Decent meal, good selection of drinks. Staff fairly friendly. Seems more of a locals pub.
Brilliant. Hidden little gem. I came down to the area for a visit for family and discovered this little gem. The food was awesome. We came practically every day. Lunch time is less busy but if you want to go for dinner reserve a table in advance. As it's so packed. Steak will keep me coming back no doubt about it.
Staff are brilliant, very polite and helpful. Meals are inexpensive and they are all very tasty. Wonderful value for money. We will soon be returning, so glad to have found the place.
Absolutely brilliant the food, the service but best bit is the value you can't get better value for money. See photo £5.95 7oz rump steak with all those trimmings don't know how they make any money. Its a must go to place if in or around Porthcawl
