Lovely fish and chips, cooked to order, no queue when we arrived for takeaway around 5pm during school summer holidays. Very large portions - two large cod and two large chips was more than enough for a family of four. All the food was great, especially the cod very light, crispy batter, mushy peas and curry sauce. Popped in as saw people eating it on the sea front and it looked great, was not disappointed. Tasty fish, crispy batter and great chips. Friendly staff and nice seating area
Visited after a lovely Friday spent at the office. The wife and kids were fancying a bit of chippy and dippy. I must say, the service here was absolutely IMPECCABLE. The food was great. Server with a kind face, brown bun called Grace was so polite and it made our day. The cook was an absolute top lad as well. Five stars, will be back soon.
What a great fish-and-chip restaurant! I would recommend anyone coming to Porthcawl to come and try it. We stayed in to eat here and were VERY hungry! The food was of excellent quality and very well presented. The staff are friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. I can personally recommend the best curry sauce I have tasted yes seriously! as a fantastic accompaniment served in a gravy boat - what a great idea! There is also an ice cream parlour there too. We had ice cream cones and sundaes between us and we all loved it, especially the kids! Thank you Franco's! We will definitely be back on our next visit to Porthcawl
Food was really nice my first time here too nice size fish but could of done with more chips for the price it was xx
Value for money. A large portion of chips is enormous, easily feed 3 people! Pleasant staff, clean shop. Only cod, no haddock, which didn't have bones and batter nice and crisp.
love this place. we used to go to 'other place' but got fed up with their 'service'. here you get great cod and chips, an oap discount, nothing is too much trouble but best of all the staff are attentive and friendly. all the time. thank you all!
