I'm dropping a review as a parent of a student that was here for a year. Just wanted to thank all staff that has been so helpful and friendly through out her stay and my visits to move her in and out. They have a resident cat and the students love her, thank you so much for been so animal friendly. Had no issue with parking as they allow you to come right near the apartment entrances. Trolleys are available to make it easier to move your things in and out. My daughter felt safe and happy.
Reasonable priced and although makes a bit of a walk to uni during first year, it's perfectly situated next to supermarkets, shops takeaways, a brand new gym group everything you need really. Staff are very nice and helpful. Flat's are average but found they were a lot less crowded compared to other students flats with too many people in. Definitely worth checknig out.
Has a lot of great grocery shops right downstairs, the living conditions are ok, the hub has a lot of place to hang out and socialize. The staff is very responsive and tries to get the issues solved right after you report it. Mostly the issues I've seen in the review, I have not experienced. Specifically the counter in my kitchen is sticky, but it's not an issue in other flats I've noticed. It is near a lot of universities. The gym here doesn't have a lot of equipment, but I don't really use them, I mainly train on the floor. Also there's a majestic cat in the reception Sorry for the messy room
There is a separate gym and study area, and a very cute long-haired cat boss, t hese can provide you with a good living. There's a supermarket downstairs and some affordable restaurants for international students, all of which are good. You've got a personal bedroom that's not too big, not too small. That's fine with me. But the soundproofing and hygiene of the place is just a bit appalling. I'm so sick of fighting mice every night. Also the service was slow ,I've reported the hood broken five times, but no one's come to take care of it. In March my shower sink clogged and I waited half a month reporting the problem four times before it was finally fixed. Overall not bad, except for the mouse & bug problem and slow service If you sleep poorly and are easily disturbed by your neighbours and "neighbours" you better be prepared.
Felt my daughter safe here however its very expensive and rooms rather small. The kitchen adequate but fridge space not appropriate for 5 people to share. A rubbish service should be included for the price.
I have lived in this apartment for more than half a year and I am very satisfied with the room facilities, location and front desk service.
The room and facilities provided are good. The staff are unfriendly, and cannot accept their own mistakes. Furthermore, maintenance take ages to come and fix things. For instance, my heater, toilet and window was broken since i moved in. It took them approximately 3 months to fix it, and my window + toilet is still broken bear in mind that its winter at the time I'm writing this so the room can be freezing. The walls are reasonably soundproof, however the windows are not, you can hear the cars going by at night. So going by the amount of money i pay and the service i received, i am quite disappointed. I advice that you find somewhere else to stay. Update: its been at least 7 months since my window is broken, they still haven't come and fix it. They came into my room 5 times, each time promising to replace it, but they have not done anything. Also, now that it is summer time, the room gets incredibly hot, the record in my room so far is 38 degrees at 9pm at night, which makes sleeping impossible. So please please please do not come here, I do not want you to suffer! Also, please note that there is a response from the IQ team under my review, do not be fooled! They did not do anything even though I have contacted them many times in the past, it is probably just a part of their PR stunt.
Living at Wilmslow park as a first-year university student has been an incredible experience. Situated a good distance of the city, it offers easy access to both the university and local amenities, blending academic life with leisure seamlessly. high-speed Wi-Fi. The communal areas, like the kitchen and lounge, are perfect for socializing, fostering a strong sense of community among residents. Safety is never a concern, with round-the-clock security and key card access ensuring peace of mind. Additionally, the on-site gym is a major perk, allowing me to stay active without leaving the building. Overall, Wilmslow park accommodation has significantly enhanced my university experience, providing a comfortable, secure, and vibrant living environment that I would highly recommend to any first-year student.
Iq wilmslow park is a wonderful place for students. It’s very diverse and has a lot of fun activities that are planned over the month which makes it a lot of fun to stay and also helps in connecting with other residents. The staff members are really helpful and kind.
Overall, I’ve had a good experience at iQ wilmslow park. I would recommend it to any new student in Manchester. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and are always available for support when it’s needed.
