Defrauded my girlfriend. I asked for three 1-inch thick sirloin steaks, which my girlfriend went to pick up, and sadly trusted them enough to not check the pack. They charged her £17 and when I opened them, I found 3 thin cut old steaks, with even some extra bits of fat thrown in separately to bulk up the weight see photos. 579g so they charged her £29.30 per kilo for old steak! Avoid.
Great traditional butcher. Decent meat at a fair price. On my last visit I bought a turkey for a Thanksgiving dinner. Ordered on the phone on Tuesday and collected on Thursday. The bit I liked the most was that they were happy to talk about how best to cook it and even threw in a thermometer to make sure it was cooked perfectly.
I highly recommend the chicken breast stuffed with goats cheese I purchased from the window today, which is always well stocked and looks amazing. I’ve not seen it before and thought I’d give it a go. The unsolicited cooking instructions given by staff were flawless, fool proof and gratefully received as the end result was a tasty, beautifully seasoned, tender, juicy piece of chicken cooked to perfection. Throughly enjoy every mouthful.
Friendly staff and excellent service! Would highly recommend them. I ordered a beautiful Christmas tree from them last year, so I bought one again this year. As I live nearby, they delivered it to my house for free. However, this time the tree ended up being bigger than expected. They picked it up for me again and returned it to their shop. Amazing service!!
Have always had exceptional service and procuce here. I find the previous recent one star review very hard to believe indeed. Anyway I ordered 2 cannons of lamb and picked them up yesterday. Absolutely stunning pieces of meat beautifully prepared and presented. Going to have them tonight and I can't wait. Keep up the great work and remember haters will always hate.
Fantastic butcher shop.Tried the beef stir fry and it was so good I shall not be making it myself again. They use the best beef and get the accompanying ingredients spot on ; not too spicy or hot , just right. Well done the girls there.
I don't usually write reviews but I have to say the transformation there is amazing. I'd been there before a while back and found the butcher obnoxious and rude however I decided to give it another try and I must say this experience was totally different. The butcher in there now was courteous and so helpful that he even suggested different ideas on cooking my beef which I have to say was better than my own method!!! 10 out of 10 for customer service and the quality of all the produce. I now wouldn't go anywhere else.
It was used to be a lovely neighborhood place. I used to go there in weekly basis but this place really let me down. Recently both service and quality became worse. I bought bad rabbit in vacuum-packed and smelled disgusting two weeks ago and I just throw it away. However, my husband last week bought some frozen meat which expired for 3 months. I went back to the shop with it. They said 'for frozen food it's OK, actually there is no expired date etc' do you believe?!. They asked me to go back again for refund.. I left my meat there, was not offered any refund, and simply won't go back. I am sad that a little friendly shop has gone. I cannot afford wasting more time on it.
Hussys butchers is a truly 5 star experience, a hidden gem and Wapping is so fortunate to have such an establishment! Friendliest of staff and top notch advice. They take your time if your a novice and have a genuine question. There is no pomp or being a 'trendy' east London butchers. They're authentic and as classic as it gets. Can't think of a single negative, even they're pricing is great.
Catering Service...... We would like to give a huge Big Thank you to all at Hussey’s. Having lost our mum just recently we couldn’t face the catering side of the Funeral. We couldn’t have asked for more ! We were so Impressed, Food was outstanding, freshly prepared ,Tables set out professionally Impeccable Service from Start to Finish, Reasonable prices would Highly Recommend. I would also like to Thank the Lovely Ladies :: Tracey - Leanne - Lana for making a Difficult Day go Smoothly Lana you were a godsend We Couldn’t Thank You Enough
