Always happy staff so sad to see them go. I had a £5 gift voucher and i decided to give it to the first member of staff I saw wasn't a wilko voucher was just a little token to say Thanks and you'll be missed! The public agree and I think we'd all like to keep the h8gj streets open as they are sociable but with online companies making it so easy to order in 1 click were loosing out passion. As well as supporting the little I dependants let's remember that for each one of us that turns our back on a major outlet, there are prob thousands doing the same. We need a balance- buy local what you can and for what you really struggle to get of course use the chain stores- they say variety is the spice of life who'd want to just be kissed if you could have a kiss and a cuddle?
Poor customer service, Til strategy rubbish. Only one till on. Long wait. # NO LOTTERY TERMINAL!
Unfortunately Wilko will no longer be a viable place to shop having gone into bankruptcy. This will be a great loss to every shopping spree across the UK. I love shopping in this department store for its quirky and able to buy just about anything service. Today was so sad as the doors will finally close on a great British institution.
I used to find this place a great resource for fish food and tool's. Went in there recently and it was like vultures picking over a carcase. I'm going to be sad to see the lovely staff and great shopping experience go.
One my favourite handy shop for most of home essentials, good value for money.staff are amazing ,special mention to Charlie,he was really very helpful and polite, when I was Trying to buy some home improvement stuff,and lights, thank you Charlie,he is such a credit to the store.
It's no wonder that Wilko is in administration. Their prices used to be cheap, but they're not anymore compared to B&M, Home Bargains and the budget supermarkets. Wilko will end up closing like Woolworths. I hope the staff get jobs elsewhere. Don't expect any bargains in store, even with the administration sale.
In terms of attitude of people in the shop it’s outstanding what lovely people they all are always ready to help. But manger wise, well I lost my job due to them not making enough money… but hey they’re hiring again so if you feel like working 3 months part time and then getting your wages cut 50% for the last week this place is for you! But please remember the staff in there are the bees knees and deserve the up most respect.
Any day, any time. Have most of my art frames for my colours from wilko. Make that garden,get that utensil and fill that empty fridge. Helpful staff.
This store has been a great asset to the Birkenhead Town centre. It's a great shame that it is closing down and will be sorely missed! Yet another huge empty store in what is becoming a 'ghosttown'!
Lots of household items at great prices. Also lots of seasonal promotions. Parking outside, unfortunately you need to pay, but its convenient. Would recommend as this is one of the bigger stores. Update : Self checkouts are working now. Well two of them.
