I have to praise the customer care of a young lady called Leen. I use a crutch and had difficulty finding what I needed. This young lady was so helpful and found what I needed within minutes and carried it to the till. I personally thanked her so much but would like to let everyone that this young lady builds my confidence in the young. loads of thanks. The day I was there was Saturday 11th May
There was no way to put zero star because they said to the client rude and put the phone down when you complained. Make sure and be careful because they lied to you if you can’t speak really well.
On Friday 3rd of may a thief walked out of the store at slatyford branch with a £125 lawn mower ,the security guard stopped chasing him as soon as he left the store,the thief just laughed and strolled away ,I queried the limited attempt to catch him and was told once the thief has left the store staff can't do anything,this is ludicrous!so for example anyone can help themselves to the numerous plants outside the store and no one will do a thing , absolutely crazy !! surely it's the opposite way around,once the thief has left the store the chase begins.
No help from the staff even after for an item. There were 2 near the entrance a man and a woman chatting. Asked me to go and check it out reading the sign posts. The store was quiet. I will not be going to this store, prefer the Gosforth one.
They had the products, problem was the line , people were just leaving items and walking out, I had a burst pipe to deal with
Unhelpful floor staff . Asked a couple of different staff about a couple of item's locations and just got told there over there on that Isle - totally uninterested.
Amazing customer service from Tracey, when I visited to exchange an item. Although the taps I needed weren't available in store that day, Tracey used her excellent customer care skills to source a suitable replacement. Thank you again Tracey, your help was much appreciated
Great experience, again allows dogs in. Kitchens on display aren't priced but all prices displayed on shelves. Couldn't find particular item and staff took me directly to it. Not just pointed n waved in general direction. Toilets on site.
1st class service had a problem with a tin of satinwood paint, returned to store and offered alternative at same price and also needed sandpaper to re sand wood work, did not have to pay to upgrade satinwood and also did not pay for sandpaper. WELL DONE!! Thanks for great customer service
Ordered kitchen at a decent price. Upon delivery not all cupboards arrived and missing parts in the items that did. At point of making the order, we were informed the cupboards would be prebuilt and made up already. They arrived in flat packs. This has set us back at least an extra £200, plus extra time to be spent on reorganising workmen. The timeline of plans we originally had sorted is scuppered. Upon trying to discuss the issues today with Wickes Newcastle over phone and around my work time, I have found staff unhelpful. Passed me to different numbers with staff again unhelpful. Not willing to help and not knowing what to do. Avoid buying from here at all costs. Better off going to Homebase or Tecaz. Advice for staff at wickes: the service does not stop at point of taking customers PIN numbers and hard earned money. Correct delivery both of the paid for product and correct delivery days needs to be sorted as a basic. If there is an issue please be at hand to help customers sort. Very disappointing.
