Good variety of products.nnI have been shopping here for a while now, and every time I enter the store, I get followed by security because I am not white. They see me visiting often, but even then, I get followed around the store.nnIt's great that Whole Foods tries to offer this personal service to POC, but at least hold my basket or something
wasn’t going to write a review but had a weird experience just now and noticed a lot of really bad reviews recently so hoping this will initiate some change?nnthe selection is fine, expensive but that’s Whole Foods. went to cash out, cashier scanned my items I was buying two things, and while he was bagging the credit card machine said “ready” so I tapped my card. It then asked for a password, I was confused and asked the cashier slightly older man, tattoos on wrist, slightly balding about it. he said in a very condescending tone, slightly chuckling “well that’s because I haven’t initiated the sale yet.” I was really off-put by this response because he appeared pissed off about it, when it was a very simple mistake, and if the card machine says “ready” I don’t know how a customer would know any better. Made me really uncomfortable leaving and hoping he won’t do this to anyone else.
I went to buy the organic mince beef and I was shocked how much it's gone up. The price is now £8.49 for 400g. Not so long ago it was around £6.80, though this is still expensive.nnI have checked the prices in Waitrose and M&S and they are far cheaper and in the case of M&S, the size is 500g.nnThis is ridiculous and would be keen to know the justification at this price point.
Clearly all organic, make sure you clean your fruit and veg well and check for mold prior to leaving. They do not check their veg before putting it up for sale, no quality control process, i found several nest on one bunch of my kale, onions were off and my bunch of broccoli was full of a variety of life
One of the smaller Whole Foods stores I've visited but it's well stocked. The selection is all priced at a premium, but you also get really fine quality. The aisles are rather narrow so pick a less busy time to go.
