A good news story A frequent shopper to Waitrose Bluewater over the years I have shared family stories with staff currently it’s a sad time as both my father inlaw and Dad are terminally ill therefore I was looking to cook xmas dinner early for my family on the Wirral and last Thursday was on the look out for a turkey and crackers On chatting to the staff at Waitrose on why I wanted a early xmas day dinner as it’s unlikely my dad would see Christmas Day 2017 therefore I was arranging an early Christmas family meal after I told the story the lady serving disappeared and came back with a large chicken and two packs of Yorkshire puds bagged them up and said this is for you and your family merry Christmas I was overwhelmed and after many tears and thank yous accepted the gift and we had a wonderful family Christmas last weekend ... Thank you

Love this store, such a civilised way to shop. I start by meeting a friend and we have our free coffee at the coffee bar with a pastry of some sort. Then I do my shop in a lovely, uncluttered and open environment. The fish counter always looks so good I feel I could buy it all. Excellent choice of cheeses at the cheese counter and they are always happy to let you taste any of the cheeses. The butcher is really helpful and takes pride in what he sells and everything is such good quality. Some of the till are a bit cramped for space and I still struggle to find certain items among the shelves but the staff are always on hand and happy to help by taking you to where the item is not just pointing or telling you to look in isle No. whatever. There are plenty of staff on hand to so finding someone is never a problem and if you ask someone about something from an area they don't cover they don't just tell you to find someone else, they find out the answer or find the person that knows themselves. The staff work really hard and are always appear happy. Shopping there is a pleasure not a chore.

Disappointing that when the coffee machine is out of order that they will not make coffee to go at the cafe in the centre of the shop. It is also a very long walk to the Waitrose from the car park, making it quite a long stop.

Visited food hall yesterday and bought a bag of Maris piper potatoes. Opened them this morning and the smell made me wretch. All bad and off. Threw the whole lot away. Contacted store this morning to advise them and member of staff on the switchboard really unhelpful.. Didn't even take my name. Expect more from waitrose.
