A very interesting place to visit, if you like classic cars and motorbikes. There is a canteen, and parking for about 30 cars. It's only open every Tuesday 10am to 4pm.Visited onWeekday
The museum is open most Tuesdays and Sundays, very friendly volunteers who clearly care about the museum. Much more than expected, including a well and outbuildings which includes a train carriage with model railways see if you spot the tardis!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Whitewebbs museum of transport is wonderful. Their collection is astounding. The museum consists of 4 floors. There is a lift, however it goes only 1 floor up, so if you have reduced mobility you’ll struggle with the stairs. The staff are are great, friendly and knowledgeable. If you have any queries they’ll be happy to answer any questions about exhibits. On the top floor you’ll find collection of miniature cars, 2nd floor are cycles, 1st are motorcycles, ground floor and yard are real vehicles. At the museum you’ll find some rear vehicles that will get you excited with. I’d love to say more but you have to come to see it for yourself. The museum is only open on Tuesday. So plan your day of visit carefully. I’d say it is a hidden treasure that is needed to be seen.
Lovely little gem of a museum with very enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers who operate it. You simply must visit this place!
