Now Zucchini Italian restaurant with rooms still available. Dined here last night with two friends, very good selection of food and drink and friendly staff. Food was very tasty and the after dinner liquer tasting was interesting with surprising results. The only reason for the four star rating was that the portion of brioche bread and butter pudding was a little small compared to our other two HUGE deserts.....and the shortage of clotted cream........ Still very recommended for a great night out tho!
I can’t describe how filthy, dirty, unhygienic this hotel was, we unfortunately paid before seeing our room for 2 nights, when we said to them the next day how uncomfortable and dusty the room was, the mattress had a whole, they disappeared- we had gone to Cornwall for a funeral of which we communicated that we would like our money back for the second night so we could leave, and they would not answer our calls, we left anyway and stayed elsewhere - it was extremely weird as the hotel was completely empty, the room that was given to us did not look like the one online either, on top of that they gave our dog a treat which was so sharp that made him bleed and nearly choked! I would not recommend this place to anyone! They also kept trying to negotiate the price of the room when we spoke on the phone and in person - we should have seen the signs!
‘DISGUSTING/SCARY’!! hotel had been empty for a long time and just reopened, mattresses where yellow and collapsed obviously the ones from 10 years ago floorboards missing in the bathroom! Air fresheners everywhere but still smelt damp/musty. Reception was a pile of books magazines papers stacked with dust, you couldn’t even see through the glass wall etc, it felt like we were staying in a kennels/ horror movie being the only guests it was freaky! Avoid like the plague!!!!

Great food at this recently reopened venue. The Italian food is excellent and the proprietor cannot do enough to please. A great fun evening with our very good friends.
Now called Zucchini Italian Restaurant and lodge. Working hard to updo the place .
Cannot fault this place..on my recent stay here through work, i received a service that was second to none..extremely friendly and attentive staff, large comfortable and clean room..food on the evening was great and the breakfast was spot on..really good place to stay..nice relaxed atmosphere..
