Westhill Venture easily gets up ALL of the road hills in and around Inverness some are steep ,long and impossible for me on a standard cycle, I bought my Venture 12 months ago, I use it every single day come shine or snow , 3275 miles, 1rear tyre later this well built bike and all of its components are still going strong, I would strongly recommend the Westhill Venture, seriously good bike, seriously good fun. It has replaced my car so I am saving money and keeping fit at the same time.
The Westhill Ranger hybrid bike. It's a big bike but really impressive in it's looks. Heavy but substantial with very good quality components. I've had it a week and done 85 miles, mostly to work. It zooms along if you want it to and is so easy to adjust the settings to allow a bit more top speed out of it. It even has a cruise control which allows you to stop peddling all together, which gives a much needed break. You will find that you want to peddle more and give more effort the more you ride it and you can turn the assist down to 2 or 3, which really gives you excellent mileage per charge cycle. All in all, I am really pleased with it and really enjoy going out riding without the dread of the return trip or going up hills. For the money, this is a great buy and the customer support by both Westhill engineers for advice and ebikes-direct has been, well, really superb. I've fitted a throttle which just clips in easily, it allows me to get a good start on the traffic at junctions, etc. These are cheap on Amazon, just buy the waterproof connection type and you are good to go.
I’d been considering purchasing a Westhill Link folding bike and had been in touch with Austin at Westhill Electric Bikes. On every occasion he responded quickly answering my questions. Recently I bought this bike and have found it a well designed machine and easy to ride. After a couple of weeks of use I had a few questions and again contacted Austin. These were answered quickly and efficiently. So as well as a great bike, I have found the customer service to be first class.
Freedom and mental well being has greatly improved thanks to our Westhill Classic e-bikes. As we are now both retired, it was time to rekindle our youthful fun. Our bikes have been with us nearly a year and we have ridden over 1,000 miles. Thanks go to Austin and the team at Westhill. We are often asked about our bikes by people we meet on our rides. Of course, we are more than happy to answer their questions but the smile on our faces says it all. We now look forward to another year of more adventures on our Westhill bikes.
Do NOT do business with these people. Took delivery in August 22 and tried to raise issues and faults with the bike but nobody ever calls you back. The communication is non existent and they do not want to know. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE, there is better options out there. I've had rattles from the cables in the frame, faults with the battery, faulty front hub and stantions, loose rear cassette. The local dealer said the bike was faulty and should be replaced, they will not entertain it. You have been warned!
