Myself and a few friends visited your shop with the intention of purchasing a new car battery. We approached the manager, [Manager's name if known], for assistance. He directed us to a digital machine that utilizes registration details to recommend compatible batteries.nnFollowing the manager's instructions, we used the machine and identified suitable batteries. Unfortunately, upon further inquiry, we were informed that these recommended batteries were out of stock. We then requested assistance from the manager again, seeking alternative battery options or recommendations. However, [Manager's name if known] did not respond to our questions and simply walked away.nnAssuming he was checking stock availability, we waited for an extended period. Unfortunately, he returned and resumed activities unrelated to our inquiry. We approached him once more to clarify our doubts, but he continued to completely disregard our presence.nThis entire experience left us feeling neglected and disrespected. The lack of customer service extended not only by the manager but also by the general staff was quite concerning. The manager's demeanor came across as dismissive and unprofessional.
Ah, Halfords. The place where I can always count on leaving with… absolutely nothing accomplished.nnTrip #1: Went in for a simple AC gas refill, only to be told by the “expert” that our AC unit had ascended to appliance heaven. Funny, because an actual garage resurrected it by… that’s right, refilling the gas. Thought it was just a fluke, so my partner tried her luck with the same AC issue in her car. Spoiler alert: same story. The only thing they’re topping up there is my patience… and it’s running low.nnTrip #2: Picked up a car battery. I thought, “what could possibly go wrong?” Turns out, the battery was dead on arrival. I asked the gentleman at the desk, who was very confident in his “batteries-never-die” philosophy, to double-check. After an inspiring TED Talk on how I was mistaken and batteries are eternal, I took it home to find it was, indeed, quite dead. Maybe they’re trying to save the planet by selling eco-friendly, zero-chargeable batteries?nnTrip #3: Today’s mission: get the bike checked. Waited 30 minutes for them to size it up, only to be told it’d take a week for repairs. Cool, no problem. Except hours later, they rang me up to announce, “actually, we don’t touch bikes like yours.” Apparently, they’ve got a strict “anti-Giant” policy. Half a day and a long drive wasted so they could ghost my bike. Seems my e-bike’s motor just didn’t meet their high standards.nnSummary: Four trips. Zero wins. Halfords has a remarkable talent for consistency—in turning simple requests into full-scale production tragedies. They’re like the Shakespeare of unhelpful automotive advice. Safe to say I won’t be back, but I’ll cherish the memories…
Jasper replaced a headlight in my campervan today. A young lad with a positive attitude, he did a difficult to get at job, on a hot engine with efficiency, quickness, and humour! Thank you Jasper from a happy customer!
Completely unhappy with the standard of customer service from the manager of this store. His poor level of service was not just towards me but also to two other customers. They were seeking a product that they were told would be available at the store only to be abruptly told differently. A truely appalling level of service.
Needed to transfer my dashcam set front and back at short notice. The staff were really helpful as despite being really busy they managed to find an hour slot to remove from my old car in a couple of days. Then because they didn’t have any 2-hour slots they arranged two one-hour slots to fit the front and then the back. This meant not having my car unprotected for any longer than necessary.nnI have always found the staff to be very keen to provide great service!
