Me and my friend had a nice dinner last night. It seems that the menu changes every day. Each dish we ordered was so good, especially the chicken heart&liver, pasta and dessert definitely will be back sometime soon. Food: 5/5
Could not recommend this place enough. Our waitress Katie was amazing, so warm and kind. The food was delish, my friend and I shared everything and it let us try lots. Will definitely be back. Love this group. Never fails to impress me.Food: 5/5
We had dinner there. Ordered fish and tagliatelle as well as a few small plates. They were extremely delicious. Riesling wine was amazing too. It has a very romantic atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Finally got to visit this restaurant, sister to Primeur in Canonbury. The decor, the vibe, and the clientele are all excellent. The food is mostly good - the courgette and pea dish was the standout, all of the small plates were creative and tasty. I took an issue with the dish described as “baked cuttlefish” which was really just a black ink pasta with a few pieces of chopped cuttlefish in the mix; it was disappointing for the small serving of seafood, the overuse of butter and the price for what amounted to a small pan of pasta. I passed my feedback to the serving staff they came back to ask why we found the dish disappointing, but took no proactive actions in light of our feedback. Wine corkage at £30 also felt excessive. Nice vibe on a summer’s evening when the doors are wide open. Small plates appear to be their forté.
This place was incredible. I went with two friends and we shared everything. Every single dish was a flavour explosion and so fresh. We loved everything. The restaurant itself is stunning with lovely mood lightening. Staff are friendly and attentive and are knowledgeable about the wine and menu. Only downside is portion sizes are more on the small size and it’s on the pricier side but my god it’s worth it. Would highly recommend!
We went for dinner at about 6:30 and ordered 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 desserts for 4 people. Every dish was a success. Their menu changes regularly and they had a lamb wellington special that day, until it was removed from the menu at about 8pm. They delivered the dish one by one - curating the journey for us and it was amazing!Food: 5/5
Can’t fault this place for service and atmosphere - 11/10 unbelievable!! Menu was very varied and exciting! A place for a special occasion!Food: 4/5
Such a lovely vibe & amazing food. Menu changes frequently but everything we had was lovely. Wide selection of fish & seafood. Great wine. I particularly enjoyed the cider on tap. The staff and very welcoming and the place is just so charming.
Really enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant. Set-up is quite simple — changing daily menu with big selection of sharing plates. Some of the dishes we had were very good polenta, hake, the green salad, others were fine — no bad plate, but nothing totally standout either. The chocolate dessert was probably the best I’ve had in a long time, though! Would revisit again for the atmosphere and to check out some new dishes.
Beautiful dinner here at Western Laundry. Had been to its sister Jolene which we loved and WL did not disappoint! Beautiful restaurant, great food and vibe. Will be backFood: 5/5
