Unbelievable pub, great pints of Guinness, and one of the nicest roasts I’ve ever had. They had the football on the tv when we were there too so there’s a good atmosphere. All the staff were really lovely and even when the pub was rammed they were all smiles. Service was so good. One of the top pubs in London 100% Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options on the menu
Good local pub with tasty beers, a relatively limited wine selection, sport on big screens, and some outdoor seating. Nice and friendly with quick serviceFood: 5/5
Stunning pub, the food was a huge highlight. Group of 3 for dinner, great atmosphere and lovely staff. The pub was full of families and couples enjoying a Sunday roast! The beef was perfect and probably the best roast I’ve ever had. 10/10 cannot wait to visit again.Recommended dishes
Such a delicious scrumptious Sunday roast!! I’ve walked by this place so many times and finally got to try their roasts after hearing a lot about it! Really appreciate the ample gravy that comes on the side. Those thousand layer potatoes were absolute perfection!! Reservation policy is definitely on the stricter side but honestly I understand why. We only booked when we were absolutely sure we could make it to avoid the £15pp cancellation fee. Bonus points bc my favorite beer Jubel is on tap. A pity that they don’t serve Pimms during the summer though. Overall, an excellent pub with great sports / chill vibes. Staff are friendly and attentive! Try their Sunday roasts!!
As we arrived quite early. The bar was almost empty. We didn't order any food either. The bar offered a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks for customers to purchase. Customers are allowed to bring in their own food to eat. Wheelchair accessibility: I found accessing the establishment is limited to wheelchair users
Staff were lovely, beer was perfectly cold, Sunday roast was PHENOMENAL. Wish I lived in London, I'd be back every week.Food: 5/5
Been here for drinks a few times, enjoyed it and always wanted to try the food. Booked in for Sunday lunch and had every intention of going but to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel last minute which is understandably annoying for the pub. Holding my hands up I appreciate there is a 48 hour cancellation policy that I had forgotten about. There's no way I could've known my family weren't going to make it to London in time that day, had I known earlier, I would have called earlier... Obviously no one mentioned it when cancelling, wonder why... Upon calling after the charge I thought there may be some understanding but alas - "that's the policy and it's on your booking" - fair play. Whilst the policy is the policy and I tacitly agreed to it by booking in, £75 for nothing seems a bit steep. Maybe put it at the top of the booking email rather than the small print at the bottom. Won't be back.
Great roast. On the pricey side but top quality food, and possibly the best roast potatoes I've ever had?!Food: 4/5
Finsbury Park  £5.75 Madri A delightful Finsbury Park boozer with a hint of the Emerald Isle. . The WB Yeats is located on a quiet residential street in Finsbury Park. The nearest tube is Finsbury Park, Crouch Hill overground is also close by. . This pub is named after the famous Irish poet and dramatist WB Yeats. He was a popular and political figure in Ireland at the turn of the 20th century. This pub was renamed in 2013 and was originally called The Duke Edinburgh and built in 1872. This pub is owned by the same Irish owner that runs The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington, so you know you’re in good hands. . The decor here is traditional with a few contemporary touches. The floor is stripped wood, the walls a deep green and the bar is a good size and had a metro tiled splashback. Around the walls are pictures and mirrors of WB Yeats along with some antique bric-à-brac. There are a few TV’s if you want to catch the footy. . The beer choice was good, I was going to try the Guinness but it was a warm day so I decided on a Madri. My pint was enjoyable and under six quid which made a nice change. . The atmosphere was chilled on this Friday afternoon, the majority of punters were sat outside on the benches at the front. I was served by a friendly chap, he was chatting to the locals as they came in for top ups from outside. There are music nights throughout the month if you fancy some live entertainment, check out their insta for whats on. . My Irish parents lived in Finsbury Park when they emigrated here from Ireland in the 60’s. That generation have grown old and nowadays you hardly hear an Irish accent in this once Irish enclave of London. The @wbyeatsn4 is a modern day pub which has Irish hospitality at its core, this is a decent pub and well worth your patronage. . ℹ Info correct on visiting 23/09/22
