Popped into this pub on a whim and it was a solid choice. Lots of beers on a tap and tons of patio space to enjoy a pint on. We also ordered food, the roast pork sandwich and fried potatoes with garlic aioli. Everything was super tasty; although the chimichurri on the sandwich tasted a bit like soap? Service was friendly and quick. Great spot on a sunny afternoon!
Good food and excellent service at our local pub, but it was exceptionally loud on a recent Friday evening in September whilst having dinner. We were a party of 4 and could barely understand each other despite sitting in close proximity. The cackling and screeching of diners seated nearby became unbearable. So we left with our ears ringing, and would think twice about having dinner indoors here again. Overall, it didn’t make for a relaxing experience. Not sure what the solution is.
The best sandwich I’ve had in a while pork bun. Roasted potatoes were also excellent. We sat outside which was a great atmosphere and had a couple pints—good beer selection on tap. This tavern also has a very nice outdoor back patio for longer sit down meals.Food: 5/5
Great pub food. Good atmosphere and space inside, outside front and back. Good selection of beers, too. It gets busy at the weekend, though, but it is worth a visit if in and around "Tuffers."Food: 5/5
Went for a lovely afternoon late lunch, was a walk in, we didn't prebook a table this is a bonus as so many still at the moment don't like walk ins. Food was lovely photos don't do it justice, flavours were on point, great pub food. Only let downs, menu, for non foodies explain what your dishes are, a little description goes a long way, and I appreciate you want just one menu page however your drinks won't change often so perhaps drinks menu on separate one and on the tables with food menu more detailed. This could be 5 stars but had to explain what the foods were to other guests, and that frustrated them that no description are on the menu. Overall great little pub, give it a go !
The staff is very rude as noted by many customers on TripAdvisor, which is a real shame considering the food and ambiance are fantastic. If I were the manager or owner of that pub, I would have a serious talk with the team.Food: 5/5
One of our favourite spots in Tufnell Park and conveniently located next to the actual park. Possibly the best place to have bravas in London, especially during the summer. And during the winter is quite cozy and you can sit by the fireplace and enjoy a pizza. And if you are lucky, maybe you can have a pork sandwich, which is by far the best item in the menu. Shame that the menu changes constantly. Price-wise is a bit expensive. Definitely do not get table service because that way you avoid paying for the service charge.
Pizza menu has changed... Weird toppings like lamb, fennel, tuna, ... but no classics, so fine as long as you like "original" pizzas I guess. Not my cup of tea I'm afraid :-/ I miss the chorizo one!
Outstanding food, excellent service from Ian and his team. Visit after 8.00pm to avoid the middle class mums and their hordes of noisy kids. Good wine list, some good ales and a great menu, mean that this place is well worth a visit.
