I live around the area and I always wanted to try it and finally I got in by chance yesterday evening. The food has Turkish influence despite the name being Italian. The selection is varied and there is a plate for every taste. Portions are good and food is tasty. I particularly liked the legume hummus and the aubergine with yoghurt and feta cheese. Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is chill and staff very nice and friendly. Recommended!
The Blue Legume Islington is the best restaurant in my neighborhood. I go there often and enjoy both the live music during dinner and the amazing food. It's a great place to go for a date, family outing, or just to drink with your friends. I highly recommend it! Parking: There are free parking after 6:30 pm. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has a wheelchair friendly entrance.
Lovely surroundings, great food, excellent staff. We were surprised with very nice live music which elevated our dining experience. The only flaw was that we ordered the ribeye medium well but it was closer to medium, however it was still very flavorful and very fresh. Definitely a place to recommend and revisit!
I had never heard of The Blue Legume Islington before but after I went to their restaurant and listened to the local band, I was hooked. They have live music Wednesday,Thursday, Friday-night until the early hours and the food is fantastic. It's a really cool venue and if you love Mediterranean cuisine or live music then it's perfect for you!
The decor, ambience and regular live bands are truly amazing but let down by average food and friendly however inattentive and inexperience wait staff. We had the chicken schnitzel and rib eye steak - both cooked well but very bland with little seasoning. The popcorn shrimps were bad - tasted like burnt bits of batter with barely any taste of shrimp. I would definitely come back but perhaps for drinks only.
At Blue Legume, The food is always on point, the staff is attentive, and the atmosphere is so comforting! I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice date spot or an upscale dining experience.Food: 5/5
Very nice atmosphere, many good choices on the menu, also some vegan ones, Service and taste were alright Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes available, Vegan only a few
Blue legume is one of our favourites in the neighborhood. Food is good and brunch time is recommended. Service us great and atmosphere is very cosy. We go there almost every weekend for a little bite. The food can be a bit or a miss.. which is a little bit disappointing because you would want the consistency and the quality to be always the same. However, still one of our favourites. Great prices, the decor is very nice and the staff is super friendly.
Lovely vibe, very chill and coffee-shop-meets-Bistro. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was well presented and very tasty, with a good selection on the menu. Coffee was also enjoyable. Sits on the more contemporary end of the value scale, so I'd consider it a little expensive for the portions, but par for the course for the area. I'd call the advertised breakfast deal reasonable value when you factor in the lovely dine-in ambiance, but it's only offered for a few weekdays. Would come back if in the area.
The food was good. However, we waited over 45 minutes for it to arrive - which is extremely long for simple lunch items like sandwiches and fries. Everyone around us who had come later than us had already been served before us, and had left by the time were finished. We didn't really receive any apology for this, nor a waiving of the undeserved service charge.
