We had the perfect stay here in September 2023 as a family of four adults sharing two rooms. Steve and Pippa and their family and dogs! are so welcoming and the perfect hosts, and we enjoyed their beautiful home in a lovely setting. Breakfast was delicious and it was lovely to stay in such a colourful and unique environment surrounded by handmade treasures. We will definitely be back!
This house was such a lovely surprise for us. We stayed in 'the bakehouse', situated to the side of the BnB. It's a converted kitchen/bread oven from when the property was a working farm. There is some information on its history provided which we thought was a nice touch. The bakehouse provides a very quaint and cosy apartment, with a private enclosed courtyard area to sit in. This is perfect if you have dogs. The outhouse there provides a shower and toilet..its an excellent shower, clean and maintained. The bed is comfy, there is a sofa with a cute little kitchen. Just be careful to watch your step on the stairs, we had a very close call when walking down them. We had a bit of wind and rain during our stay but the thick walls kept out the noise and drafts..even in the winter months this building would definitely fend off the weather. We will certainly come back here, maybe in the low season to enjoy less crowds. We will indulge in the very reasonable £7.50 cooked breakfasts that can be provided each morning too. The bakehouse is in walking distance of a little village with a church, pub, cafe etc. Llangennith beach is just down the road too. Easier to drive there though due to lanes, parking costs £5 for the day and they have an excellent cafe. Overall an amazing spot to stay which gives you access to the whole of the Gower, would highly recommend
Really lovely hosts Pippa and Steve. Great breakfasts. Good value. Excellent location for a beautiful beach with good surfing. Nearby activities: Surfing. Walking.
A B&B like no other truly a amazing experience, quirky brightly coloured. The owners Pippa and Steve have created a wonderful place to stay.Rooms: 5/5
What a place and what a breakfast eggs from Steves chickens! Steve and Pippa thinnest hosts money could buy, Cadi-Mai the perfect entertainer, Rhian the organiser, the dogs a joy to watch and so well behaved. Full marks, perfect getaway!!Rooms: 5/5
Wonderful place to stay! Very quirky and colourful. Only stayed one night but will be returning again. The b&b is in a great location, 15-20min walk to the beach - allows you to take in great views of the area. The garden is perfect to sit and relax in as well. The hosts were amazing and could serve a killer vegan breakfast! Was lovely chatting to them and they were also very helpful. Can't praise this place enough!
Stayed here August 2022 for a family wedding. Lovely, friendly hosts went out of their way. Comfy colourful rooms. Breakfast was exceptional. Will return sometime in the near future. Rooms: Colourful, comfortable and quirky. Food & drinks: Breakfast was exceptional.
We loved the warm welcome, the artistic design, a very comfortable bed and use of the beautiful garden. Steve and Pippa made our stay perfect. Excellent breakfast and gorgeous dogs. Thank you we are planning our next stay in spring. Tracey and MandyRooms: 5/5
I love this place, we have been here twice recently for our honeymoon. The location is lovely and so peaceful just down the road from a great pub the owners are really lovely, welcoming people. Close to the beach and doggy friendly see you next year.Rooms: 5/5
I've stayed in every room except for the barn at Western House B&B over the years. I love this family run place so much, and the family too. You couldn't wish to meet nicer, kinder people than Steve & Pippa and their wonderfully mature kids. Offering fab breakfasts that will see you through the morning easily, Steve and Pippa are happy to share local knowledge and tips on surfing, walks and places to eat out. Their rooms are gorgeous. I've watched this place grow and develop since it's early days, and what they've done with it is super beautiful. This is not your average B&B. Not even close to average. It's stellar! For we outdoor types, you can walk straight out of the house and on to off road trails to the beach across the back of Rhosilli Down, avoiding the traffic, enjoying the peace, and the view, in the midst of nature. Or take the quick way down in your car with surfboards. Steve and Pippa are pet friendly, kid friendly, surfer friendly, cyclist friendly, hell, they're just super friendly to all of us! I don't believe you could get a better welcome than these guys can offer you, anywhere in the Gower. One of these days I'm going to splash out and go back and stay in their beautiful converted barn, the only bit of Western House I haven't stayed in.
