We took family here for Sunday lunch last weekend - and wow, what a feast we enjoyed. Three of our party had the beef option and I choose turkey. We all had large portions with plenty of meat, additional dishes of vegetables and extra gravy we didn't have to ask for it either. All in all, an absolutely delicious lunch in a really friendly pub. The bill didn't break the bank either. The only downside was the portions were so large we didn't have space left for the homemake cheesecake! Next time ...
NEW OWNERS!!nA bright and fresh proper pub with a beer garden and a outside TV being installed next week They didn't have food on as they just opened 1st day of food that Sunday onwards but I overheard they made Cawl so I asked for a bowl and it was UNBELIEVABLE I asked for 2nds!nGreat selection of beers and stoutnnExtremely friendly and dogs welcome! Iv just moved here and I'm glad this place is on my doorstep!
A short walk from the pembrey park and coastal path.nBrilliant choice of drinks on offer, including 0% alcohol free for the driver.nSunday lunch is delicious, order in advance.nOwners are great.
The atmosphere in the pub was incredible. Full of banter and laughs and made us feel so welcome. Super dog friendly! Both men behind the bar would come over to make a fuss of the dog and give him treats.nThe food was outstanding. We tried food from the main menu one day and Sunday lunch another day. The chef also came out on both days to ask if everything was okay with the food.nWill definitely be returning!
Had Sunday lunch, the food was barely warm and the beef was tough, too tough to eat. Did pass this on but no response from the server. Chicken, gammon and most of the veg lacked seasoning. Parsnips and roasties were nice. The drinks were reasonably priced. But overall below average. Will not return.
