If you're looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing place to spend a couple of hours, then Western Flatts is the place to be. I almost gave it 3 stars but I think that'd be unfair. There's nothing "wrong" with it. It ticks a lot of boxes but it's just lacking that umph. A cafe would help. Some water features perhaps? Just... "something" to give it that X Factor.
One of the biggest parks in Leeds after Rounday Park. This park features multiple sports facilities including basketball, football and tennis courts. It also has play areas for kids and a designated area for flowers. I recommend anyone live in West of Leeds. The trees there, especially in the spring, have wonderful colors. Playground: Basketball, tennis court. Dog-friendliness: Long footpath area. Picnic area: Very likely to do
This is a lovely place with several football pitches and tennis courts. An enclosed rose garden, it also has a children's play area including swings and climbing frames, it also has a large open field to run about which is on a slope and also great for picnics except for the dogs running if the lead which they shouldn't be
Lovely park, friendly regular people with their dogs, kids play area, enclosed garden to let dogs off if you prefer and path all the way around aswell as a field leading to a quarry which is also nice to walk the dogs around in nice weather
Great park with a beautiful view to South Leeds. Unfortunately this park needs more TLC, probably, a new playground surface was too slippery and swings and slide too rusty. Playground: Playground is in the very bad state
Lovely big park well kept use every morning for exercise. Tennis courts football pitch and hoops. Childrens park when open and bowls.
it has a lot of memories for me, as I grew up around here. things are the same and I still feel safe here. great for walking dogs. the rose garden is a sanctuary were you can sit and dwell on your day. get to the top and the views are great . this is my favourite place when in the area
Very nice and pleasant park
April is probably the best time to visit this park. The walled garden is not looked after well though.
Great place to visit. Please respect our space and use the bins available. Such a tranquil park with beautiful rose gardens
