Free. Open 24hrs, 7 days all year round. And no matter how busy it gets you can always find a quiet spot. Gentle or more challenging walks to be had, cafes for a brew and cake, plenty of benches to take in the views - nearby pubs for a well earned treat! Or go with the kids, there's ducks and geese to feed (get bird/lake friendly food from the cafe) and a coupe of playgrounds to keep them entertained. Amazing place, any time, any weather.

Well maintained park which is always popular without visitors. Great to spend a day there in the sunshine, and watch a game of cricket in the summer! Plenty of space for a picnic or there's a great cafe overlooking the big lake with a good selection of sandwiches, hot food and cakes (though it's not cheap). There are 2 lakes, plenty of tracks through the woods or wheelchair friendly paths. It's by no means flat though! There are also 2 children's play areas, the Mansion House restaurant and The Roundhay Fox pub. It's also well serviced by the local bus routes.

Fantastic park. I have had many a summer afternoon here with friends and now I intend to take my young family to enjoy it too. I wouldn't bother with the cafe as it is busy and over priced. Make sure you take a picnic or eat before you go. There is a pub close by. Tropical world is definitely worth a visit with the kids. Don't wrap up too much. It's HOT!!

Roundhay Park is a beautiful place to visit with loads to do and see. Ideal for joggers, cyclists, dog-walkers, leisurely strolls or even a family day out! With gardens, lakes, canals, playgrounds, cafes and more...there is something for everyone! Don't miss Tropical World while you're there too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful butterflies, incredible birds, pretty fish and ridiculously cute meerkats. I've visited Tropical World many times in the past, and every time I'm surprised by what's on offer and how cheap it is. Plus, it's lovely and warm, even while it's frigid outside. Really great for the whole family. The only downside is the fact that the toilets are pretty grotty.
