Lovely place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, especially for a lunch break as there are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the park. It's well kept and maintained with nice plants. It's not very big but is massively popular, especially on warm days.

The park is lovely and nicely maintained. In 1865 the square was the location of a riot after a cook was sentenced to a month in jail for the theft of two pounds of dripping. In the summer when there is a light breeze the air is perfumed by roses.

Lovely peaceful part of city centre. Away from the bustle of the headrow. Really well maintained too. Just lovely.
