Excellent. I wood never have thought i wood have encountered Egyptian artifacts such as soul houses in anything uther than a large inercity museum but here they are.

You would never expect to find something like this in the park of a Northern market town. But here it is: a small museum modeled by the architect of the architect of the South Kensington Museum drawing inspiration from the South gallery of Manchester's Whitworth that is full of - you wouldn't be able to guess it - Egyptian artefacts (including a mummy case) but also landscapes and a stuffed Panda. As I said: you wouldn't guess it. It is a joy to explore so step in next time.
