I started watching football in 1998, the World Cup in France. Then the Manchester United treble happened in 1999. This museum simply brings so much memory of mine, and I enjoyed every single minute when visiting. And the museum is HIGHLY interactive - quizzes, pictures, penalty kicks, etc. You could easily spend hours inside the museum!
My 11 year old son and I are football mad and so when visiting Manchester it was the perfect place to spend a few hours. We booked tickets in advance and booked an Uber from Picadilly - nice and easy. The museum is spread over 4 floors with loads to do. We enjoyed all of the interactive activities and the displays were informative and fun. The final thing we did was the penalty shoot out - it costs £3 for 3 shots which in my opinion should’ve been included in the entry price I mean, which Dad is going to say no to his son to do that!.nnAll of the staff from the entrance to leaving were very friendly and helpful.
I agree with most of the reviews about this museum—it’s definitely worth the ticket price!nnYou'll gain fascinating insights into the history of football, not just globally but also the deep-rooted traditions of UK football. Even my wife, who isn’t a football fan, thoroughly enjoyed the visit.nnThe museum offers interactive exhibits that cater to all ages and interests, making the experience both educational and fun. A highlight for me was the gaming area, perfect for die-hard football fans—I even managed to rank in the top three for the penalty kick game!nnWhether you're a tourist visiting Manchester for a Manchester United match or a local lucky you, as entry is free!, this museum is a must-visit. It’s an engaging and immersive experience that every football fan will appreciate.
