The building was old in design but clean. Staff were very helpful but not over bearing. I was in party of ten and the rooms are varied with some smaller than others and the rooms only have side lights and no main light which may be an issue for some. The set menu was limited in choice but the quality of food was excellent. The kids bemoaned the lack of breakfast muffins but I had fresh figs so I wasn't complaining. The hotel is set in large grounds so it was nice a quiet. Over all I recommend this hotel.

West Lodge Park is a beautiful country retreat. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The efficient and friendly service and attention to detail was amazing and the dinner we had was just superb. Our room was clean, extremely comfortable and had views from two aspects over the beautiful gardens and arboretum. We chose West Lodge Park to celebrate my husband's birthday and we were not disappointed with any aspect of our stay. In fact, everything exceeded our expectations. Andrew Beale himself could not have been more accommodating and helped to make our stay one which we will cherish and remember for years to come. We thoroughly recommend this beautiful, family run hotel.

Although a nice clean hotel, I will never stay here again, I will also inform my colleagues to find alternative accommodation. My reasons are: In 18 months I have spent £12,000 using this hotel for somewhere to sleep during the day due to my work commitments during the night for the prison service, on this occasion I was given a room in a busy corridor, which meant I could not sleep, due to doors banging and cleaners outside my room, I politely asked the duty manager if she could possibly move me to a quieter room, as I'm here a week and I'm seriously getting no sleep, she refused to move me unless I paid more money, The management are not interested in the well being of there guests, they are only concerned of squeezing as much money out of you as possible! I have made a complaint with Redfern and I have booked with a different hotel for my next trip in May. I will inform the prison service to use different accommodation in the future, and let someone else profit from the £100'000s we spend in this hotel a year

Great place all year round......Lunch, Dinner, Afternoon Tea and they also hosts special events. Food is excellent. Service is great 😊 summertime is best you can enjoy the gardens.....Bar food is also a great choice.....

Lovely hotel great service, could greatly benefit from the addition of a spa, him and pool. Would definitely make a return visit
