George not only provided the necessary parts for my repair job, but he also offered apples, bananas and sultanas, and some nutrition advice for my upcoming 80mile cycle. One of the good guys, with a busy shop that is testament to his workmanship.
Went in for my son’s bike service, they were very helpful, service was very polite, . John was very kind . Went wid basic service option for 40£ which i thought was reasonable compared to others in the areas . Thnx guyz.
I left my bike for two weeks and nothing had been done, being told “you need to be patient” each time I called while it always supposed to be serviced initially in two days. I use my bike everyday for commuting, I can’t afford that kind of delay, I’m sorry. Oh, and I almost forgot! My bike was in a worst condition when I got it back as I had to refill the liquid for brake that has mysteriously leaked. Might be bad luck but I guess the bike might have been moved carelessly I also read in the comments that it happened to at least another customer to find his bike both not repaired and in a worse condition.
This is a fantastic bicycle shop I visited at noon. I was experiencing some troubling noise and vibrations with my bike whenever I pedaled hard. I was kindly told by the staff the issues may come from the pedals and the bottom bracket. They decided to check both. Within just half an hour, I was informed that my bike was all fixed up and ready to go. They installed a brand new set of pedals and bottom bracket. It now rides so smoothly! I was surprised by the quality of service and the speed at which they got my bike back to me. The staffs are professional and welcoming.
Awesome service. Just wanted a puncture fixed but guy put on a missing wheel nut for nowt. LIFESAVERS
They offer a fantastic service at a great price and fast speed.
George was previously a decent mechanic and I have enjoyed using his services in the past, but this week he has grown increasingly erratic as a consequence of the huge amount of pain he is in. Its no state secret, he had a terrible accident a few years ago during his daily commute home. However, I turned up at 11 am seeking to have my bike serviced and was met with a very foul and nasty attitude. He left me waiting for nearly twenty minutes before stating "wit is it" with a real foulness. He instructed me to come back, the following day with my bicycle, claiming he only accepted bikes first thing in the morning. I am no mind reader and his website offers no such instructions. He told me, he would be in at 07:45 and yet didn't appear until 08:45. I patiently waited. Again he came at me with the same abrasive attitude, "wit is it" telling me I would be unable to get my bike back until next week. Again, I had no issue with leaving the bike with him but with his terrible attitude so stormed away feeling rather infuriated. I honestly have no idea what I did to upset him, beyond paying decent money to his shop for a new helmet and bike lock with a promise to make several more purchases, ie a new saddle as well as a servicing. The place does after all, claim to be a bike shop.
Amazing service with a very helpful and welcoming environment
Had to wait two weeks for a bucked wheel to be repaired, the guys appeared to be busy but still, it was never repaired. I took it back after being as patient as I could and the front wheel was flat even though it was perfect when brought in. I not only didn't get the bike fixed, but got it even worse than it initially was. I was recommended the shop by a friend, praised for the quality of the service, evidently, not everyone has the same service though.
This guy is SO rude, obviously bunked off school when they were teaching manners! I originally went to this shop because it was local I prefer to support independents and there seemed to be a lot of five star reviews. I don't know what I have done to upset him but when I asked when my bike would be ready to collect I got a " I've only got one pair of hands". That was not what I asked and is it not reasonable to get an idea of when the work will be done? I've had to take it back twice since the original repair, not sorted at all despite him saying he would strip it down and sort it. When I collected it the other day having not fixed the problem he said he thought the the issue was with the back wheel but didn't investigate further!?!! GREAT service. The chap needs a holiday and an assistant, then I'm sure his attitude might improve. I wish him luck.
