This review is about King's College London which is a public research university and located in London. It was adream come true to finally see and visit this place while spending time with family in the UK. With bit research I found that the College is selective, which means in every few hundred few get selected. It’s one of the most prestigious faculties of its kind, it was ranked 6th in the UK. The College is open to tourists, local visitors and students and this is how they make extra money. The place is very old and looks like less maintenance been carried over the years to upgrade & modernize the College. Kings has a particularly distinguished reputation in the humanities, law, the sciences and all the things you see around as you walk is very evident. King's College London holds a Student Visa license issued by UKVI that allows to bring overseas students into the UK to study, so most of the overseas students on a programme of 6 months or more will need this visa and its quite expensive. There is a lot to see at the campus like the Chapel, Roman Bath & The Vault. I wished if the college was more open to welcome other students of all walks of life.
Hello there. I am currently coursing my second Mas class here, and this is the moment I need clarification on why this page has such a negative post. King's College London has one of the best structural academic achievements. They do have valuables professionals in here and a high academic level. We cannot blame our weaknesses on others; this is my only description regarding previous posts. I want to thank King's College London for expanding worldwide knowledge and allowing people to connect and respect races, cultures, capacities, and experiences. I had the opportunity to study in three different countries, and I can feel this institution's support and unity, plus the contingency that not many can convey. Congrats, you have done an outstanding job throughout the years.
I am regreting study at King's they only want your money. When it is the time to register you will receive many calls and emails to pay the fee. I've been graduated for more than 4 months and until now I didn't receive my certificate and no one bother to solve my issue or to reply to my email. They will only send you an automatic reply that you will receive your certificate within 4 to 6 months. I'm international student and I asked them many time to send the reference number of the shipment of my certificate so i can track it, and no one reply to me and they said if you didn't receive your certificate within 6 months then it is considered to be lost and we will send another one which means that you have to wait for 6 months after graduationto receiveyou certificate. How disappointing. Esraa Public health online
Not happy with my experience. They only want your money in any way possible, and whatever experience or even carrying on with studies is right for you, is secondary thing. Upon reporting any issues/personal difficulties you do not get appropriate advice, as they want to hook you up for as long as possible. They just want your money. Nobody has the courage to say what is/may be right right for you, but they will do anything to prolong your agony and exploit you. Mental health team was awful and my experience with 'therapist' was awful too. If you are not a native English speaker, do not bother as chances of you graduating/going beyond year 1/2 are low. I regret deeply my experience as this University wasted 4 years of my life, without achieving anything and I only lost a lot of money towards bills, towards travel and I get no eduction out of it. It's pure business for them. They do not care if they ruin your life and put you in massive students loan debt. They 'kinda' want to help you, and offer you assistance, but they do not have at heart what is right for you. For the purpose of life/them as institution you are one of 'education seekers' and how you ended up with them, is secondary to them. I was coerced to start university at age of 24/25, never wanted to be there and whole thing is big misunderstanding. They just want to hype you up about this whole 'univeristy is great experience' thing, to lure some vulnerable people inlike people who are not native speakers or people who never considered university before, with soaping your eyes about all these projects, opportunities that are there. Opportunities and projects are reserved for the best students and if you are academically not in highest %, you are just paying their fees. I was *coerced* to start university by certain people despite fact I was 24 years old, mentally unwell and I worked my whole life and wanted to go only to collegelike South Thames college, to finish Beauty course. I also struggle with physical disability. Nobody at this University had my health and wellbeing at heart. But I will repeat, its a factory and they do not look at you like at person. You are one of many fishes in the tank. Profit over people Nobody questioned my application, nobody questioned my school results, nobody questioned whatever I was doing it out of my own will. I clearly struggled with academic work during year one, I struggled with mental health, but again, KCL is a factory. I didn't get appropiate advice that maybe university wasn't for me and that it was wrong choice. It may be good, even great school for native speakers, or very talented people, but I am not one of them. I never wanted to go to university, I was coerced to it as mentally vulnerable person, and results are very sad. At age of almost 31, I have no official qualification, no proper jobas university messed up my previous employment situation and I struggle in life to meet ends. It is not unis fault, but they eventually wasted 4 years of my life and disturbed my previous employment situation. Nothing good to say about this school. I will not comment directly on academic programme, but I found it difficult as not native speaker, too broadthey give you so many options, that in the end you do not know what to select to make it coherent and to manage time wisely. Deep regret. Especially upsetting was experience with therapist-very pushy, very intrusive. Unhlepful. She tried to mess up with my gender identity and neglect the fact I was victim, of adut domestic violence. If service is like that, it needs to be cease and person held accountable. Most importantly kept away from other, potentially vulnerable students. I am seriously considering ending my own life as this institution took away the left over health I had, and lured me to neglect my disability and health situation. Lecturers are show offs-very harassing and they want to be right on any and all topics, even on how your medical condition affects you. Very pushy and they want you to stay in programme at any cost as it pays their bills.
King college london was the worst thing i ever try to apply for in my life , they wasted my time , im so depressed , in the first place when i applied they accept my application, so later on keep receiving emails that will be an interview soon but due to many applications cant be done , i been waiting so long for 3 to 4 months building a hope that will build different future, so recently i have received an answer that i was unsuccessful due to my personal statement was not competitive, my name is khadija its very obvious im muslim so i got rejected, if my name was kate would be different got an admission, my friend got an admission with less grade , why all discrimination, this broke me completely, its so hurt . Guys stay away from this uni, they are so unfair .
I went for a campus visit. Infrastructure is decent. Students gave mixed reviews. Jobs after studies is a major concern. A consultancy firm was doing an activity on campus to let them understand careers in consulting. Security is pretty good. Cafe and tuck shop both are expensive .
The difficulty of studying in KCL is CRAZY man. We have to review 4 long articles in each seminar; for ten seminars it means 40 article to read. Ah man, KCL's offer is a ticket straight to the mental asylum.
TERRIBLE UNIVERSITY!! Please do not apply for this institution! I applied twice and got rejected both times. The first time I applied was after I graduated from high school. I got rejected from King's and was given the reason: "unfortunately, your application was not as strong as that of others." I provided them with all my highly achieved and predicted grades. However, they rejected me even before they had the chance to see my predicted grade, which came out to meet the conditions for the program I applied for if they had given me an offer. I applied again this year one year later on October 5, 2022. They then asked me to verify my results; this time, the results were achieved. I got rejected less than a week after I sent the verification of my results for the same reason I was given last year. How is this even possible? How could you give the same reason regarding "competition" if I submitted my application in early October when most students still did not submit theirs? King's College London, is there a logical explanation for your idiotic decision?
Kings College is dominated by the academic community of the same name! Consisting of thousands of students from all over the world. There are also thousands of businessmen, a very vibrant business community. The dynamism of the area is fantastic.
King's has five campuses: its historic Strand Campus in central London, three other Thames-side campuses Guy's, St Thomas' and Waterloo nearby and one in Denmark Hill in south London. It also has a presence in Shrivenham, Oxfordshire, for its professional military education, and another in Newquay, Cornwall, where its information service centre is based. In 2020/21, King's had a total income of £1 billion, of which £188.0 million was from research grants and contracts.[3] It has the fourth largest endowment of any university in the United Kingdom, and the largest of any in London. It is the 12th largest university in the United Kingdom by total enrolment.[5] Its academic activities are organised into nine faculties, which are subdivided into numerous departments, centres, and research divisions. King's is a member of academic organisations including the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, and the Russell Group. King's is home to six Medical Research Council centres and is a founding member of the King's Health Partners academic health sciences centre, Francis Crick Institute and MedCity. It is the largest European centre for graduate and post-graduate medical teaching and biomedical research, by number of students,[12] and includes the world's first nursing school, the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery.[13] King's is generally regarded as part of the "golden triangle" of universities located in the cities of Oxford, Cambridge and London.[14] King's has often had royal patronage by virtue of its foundation, with the late Queen Elizabeth II having been patron.[15] King's alumni and staff include 14 Nobel laureates; contributors to the discovery of DNA structure, Hepatitis C, the Hepatitis D genome, and the Higgs boson; pioneers of in-vitro fertilisation, stem cell/mammal cloning and the modern hospice movement; and key researchers advancing radar, radio, television and mobile phones. Alumni also include heads of states, governments and intergovernmental organisations; nineteen members of the current House of Commons and seventeen members of the current House of Lords; and the recipients of three Oscars, three Grammys and one Emmy.
