Our first time staying at Parkdean and our first time at West Bay. Fabulous caravan site in what has to be one of the best locations.nnLiterally just minutes from the seafront and all the amenities of the town. West Bay is a beautifully peaceful place with just the right amount of pubs and cafes to meet most people's needs.nnParkdean as a site was spotlessly clean and well maintained. It's a really lovely site. Highly recommended
Have stayed here several times over the years as it is very well placed for holidays at West Bay in Dorset as it is situated right by the beautiful harbour.nThe caravans can vary in age and condition so it can be a lottery as to how comfortable your stay may be but as a base for exploring the Jurassic Coast it is hard to beat and the staff are always helpful and friendly.nnI can't comment on the bars or restaurant as we always eat at one of the local pubs which offer great food at reasonable prices, favourites being the George and the West bay Hotel.
Stayed 4 nights in my campervan to fish Chesil Beach and just relax a bit. Pitch was good and check in easy.nnNice and quite too.nnReally cheap, has a club and bar plus a pool but never used them. West bay is lovely and perfect location for a relaxing few days.nnStaff all friendly and helpful.nnNo complaints at all
We stayed at the touring park with our 2 children aged 8 and 11. Although the toilet block was a few minutes walk away, as we were on the upper terraces of the camp, we had wonderful views. The wash blocked were well attended and very clean. The rest of the site facilities were great, the pool and very clean arcade provided much needed wet weather fun. The bar and restaurant were well stocked and staffed. Fantastic location to explore the coast path and west bay village. We will definitely we returning.
First the good bits.nGood site. Great location. Lovely walks from your caravan. Pleasant customer service more laternHowever. First night problem with lock on front door. Night staff came, temporary fix and said would report and expect someone the following morning. Waited in till 1pm. No one came. Went to reception. They knew nothing about it. Poor communication and a waste of our time.nReturned to caravan on fourth day of holiday to find every seat soaking wet. No note or message to say why.Reported it to customer service. Apparently a deep clean had been done, possibly on wrong caravan. Had to sit on duvet covers for next 3 days whilst seat dried. Asked for an explanation as we thought people shouldn't enter our accommodation without at least telling us. Still waiting !nLast and worst. Arrived home to a £100 parking fine. Not only was this upsetting but also in correct as had us parked in car Park for 18 hours when our car was sctually parked next to our caravan. Tried to phone parking eye. No response. Phoned parkdean west bay customer service. They said would remove it. Following week, another parking fine arrived. Very upsetting and annoying. Phoned parkdean. Said they had removed another fine we had received for parking on the 8th September. We didn't arrive till the 9th !!. Asked for an explanation.nStill waiting.nIt's such a pity that these events have tainted our whole holiday. It's seems that now we have been and paid our money any issues we had don't seem to matter
