Just returned from Haddon House. The hotel was just as I remembered from last time. Rooms were large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was was fantastic with large shower and spa bath. The bed was king size and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of variety. Would certainly visit it again and recommend it highly.

My wife lived in West Bay from 1950 on wards. The family running the Hotel have done so for the last 30 years always giving their best and always of a high standard.We went for lunch on the day of Harry and Megans Wedding, Although few there. Food 7 out of 5 price which is always right Some days with offers I had steak and kidney pudding. pie available to. Not bought in bit the proper stuff. Give them a go Quality great and service and every thing something long lost TRY THEM

The rooms are spacious and the baths very modern (including a TV in the tub). However, the rooms themselves could do with a touch-up. Breakfast was excellent (including loose-leaf tea).

I have eaten here a few times but not stayed in the hotel so this is a review of the restaurant only. There are many good things. The staff are mostly lovely and the food is generally excellent. The surroundings are traditional and pleasant. However they are charging London prices in rural Dorset so not great value. For the price I would expect up-market touches such as free bread rolls. The biggest negative point is that they are very mean with the included vegetables, so you need to order extra if you want a decent portion. A silly economy as these are the cheapest ingredients and a strange contrast with generously-portioned starters and average sized desserts. The hotel is located a short walk from the harbour of West Bay, a small fishing port, so it is a pity that local fish doesn't feature more strongly on the extensive menu.

A very warm an friendly place to stay, good sized and very clean rooms, excellent food, helpful staff, and ample on site parking.
