Fabulous Sunday lunch. I had the “three meats”, which was amazing! Priced well - not cheap, but not expensive either. I’d say very good value for money given the high quality of the meat and veg, how well it was cooked, the portion sizes and the great service. My favourite place for Sunday lunch! Followed by a lovely piece of cake … and the coffee very important is ace!
Brunch for 4 yesterday. At ordering we requested three hot drinks after the food and for three glasses of tap water. Waiter said yes whilst giving an eye roll. It set the scene tbh. Took 40 minutes and three further polite requests to get the smallest glasses of water I have ever seen. We never did get the hot drinks. After 90 minutes with no sign of them again after a few polite requests we decided to cut our losses. Staff did process refund but in very passive aggressive manner, literally walking away as I tapped for my refund and did not come back to confirm it had gone through etc. Staff generally treated us from the moment we arrived as irritations. Very bad vibe in there generally . Food, once it arrived, was good quality but cold and toast was hard as a board. Won’t return.
Me and my partner walked in to get a couple of take out drinks and was stood at the counter for around 10 minutes. Around 3 staff members totally ignored working in this area, with no acknowledgment of even asking if we had been seen to, they would see to us shortly or even a welcome greet. Bad vibe of an atmosphere since we walked in. Cannot comment on drink or food as we walked out as we had had enough.
We paid £37 for two full English breakfasts, a flat white, pot of tea and an orange juice. We were very underwhelmed. Whilst it’s certainly not cheap it was all the more expensive due to the low quality of what we received. The tomatoes were poor quality and lacking in flavour, burnt bacon, a lacklustre poached egg the yolk was runny to be fair, cold beans, lukewarm toast, cold black pudding. The food must have been sat for some reason before it came to the table. The deli has lots of good produce however sadly this didn’t translate across to the kitchen. The menu looks diverse to me so I am sure there must be other options that are better than the full English breakfast but I won’t be returning in a hurry to find out.
Always great quality produce and lovely coffee. Sit outside if you’ve got time , watch the world drive by and look over the stray. Sit inside and grab some food to eat or some cake, all good options.Food: 5/5
Lovely coffee and good food . But still think it is a bit pricey. Would suggest to add some salad at the side of the main dish to make it more presentable and balance.
Fantastic Sunday lunch, best ever. All the staff go above and beyond, so friendly and helpful.Thank you for my lovely dinner.Food: 5/5
I ordered a hamper to be delivered for a friend for 21st December as a Christmas gift and it never arrived. I emailed 26th December, I didnt expect a reply over Christmas, but they didn't answer until 3rd January. I was informed that it had been damaged and they would send another one. Too late then as Christmas had gone, if they had replied earlier it could have been for a birthday gift for the 30th Dec, but again too late for that! Whilst I appreciate that Christmas is a busy time I feel it's pretty awful service to be told they had been busy and few got missed! I would assume if you offer a christmas hamper service you should be able to deliver them pre christmas and if there are any issues contact the customer. The fact that I had to chase them and no one contacted me to inform me it was damaged is bad service. Such a shame as they look lovely but this was my first experience and will be my last. They did give me a full refund 8th Jan.
