Made a lovely change for us as it's just along the road. Not too busy, staff very friendly and helpful. The table we had overlooked the children's playground so we had entertainment as well! Recommended as there's other meals besides carvery and also vegetarian. Plenty to choose for sweets. Both meals can be eaten in or taken away.
Fantastic food and incredibly friendly staff who are always happy to accomodate a large working group or small family meal. Been many times and always had an amazing positive experience. Would recommend the carvery baps, chicken strips and definitely the cakes!
Visited recently Dylan really helpful and josey very welcoming. Tom on the other hand needs a lesson regarding empathy. I went to the end of the bar and asked him if he could just get me a fruit shoot as my autistic grandson was asking and I wanted to avoid a meltdown. I explained this to Tom AND HE said you need to queue like everyone else so 15 minutes later he served me
Nice place with a nice atmosphere and decent food. Food was hit and miss, some things really nice some below average. Garlic bread and halloumi fries starters along with the carvery were very nice. Chicken strips and hunters burger were a let down. The steak and ale pie crust was harder than Kevin Ball. The chicken Tikka starter was like was bang average but great value. Prices are really reasonable and staff are pleasant however it seems to take an age to get served sometimes. There was a queue of about 4 at the carvery that looked like the wee waiting for the E2 with it no where in sight. It wasn't really busy as well. Deserts look really nice and you can takeaway but we didn't have any. Small kids area at the back and outside that can keep the kids entertained.
We come regularly as it's local and easy to manage with 3 young kids. The staff are always lovely and friendly. In particular, Ross is always really welcoming, polite and nothing is ever too much trouble! Would highly recommend.
Visited with my family on bonfire night. Accidentally ended up with two vegan meals but your Team Leader Josey dealt very efficiently with the situation and ensured that we all enjoyed our evening. Great food, surroundings and staff.
Probably one of the worst breakfasts I have ever had, nothing like what it used to be a few years ago where it was made fresh, the sausage was chewy, the hash browns for freezing, the bacon was still oinking and the beans were mush, the ‘toast’ was solid. Me and my partner got coffee with the breakfast and even that was disappointing some how. Will never be returning, vile food and a waste of money.
Horrendous, would have given a zero score if possible. Visited on Saturday 01/10/22, had a reservation for 7pm. Informed at time of ordering No Burgers, No Pies on a Saturday night!! ordered 2 X sirloin steak meals, it had never seen sirloin, it was like cheap frying steak, peas were from a can, came with no onion rings despite menu saying so, frozen chips were awful they tasted foisty and old, mushrooms looked like they'd been cooked at some point in Roman times. 2 drinks 2 sirloin meals £50, if that's what you serve up it's probably time to call it a day. If anyone is thinking of visiting for a steak please don't bother save your cash, utterly pathetic !!!
Very nice food, good service
Lovely carvery everyday the food was hot and delicious had a big plate this time and they even through in some pigs in blankets free of charge very reasonably priced to and no need to book . If I was to sum it up its a posh toby would thoroughly recommendFood: 5/5
