Called in with kids on 21st January 2018 around 3.15 pm to about 4.25pm. Went to buy refillable coffee from bar as the soft play had ran out of cups. Walked up to bar and the 3 staff behind it seemed to disappear: 1 went into the kitchen, 1 walked away from till cos her shift was over, and the other 1 (a manager ) well, I don't quite know where he went as I was pretty shocked and disgusted! Said to one of the staff that "you just can't get the staff!" customer service is badly needed here. Though I won't be holding my breath. Coffee area messy as per but this time with added Coffee beans all over. Nice Some Staff seem to wear blinkers!! Crikey if you can't keep the coffee area clean and stocked what else is going wrong? Not a good visit today 🙁

Went over the Easter weekend, for a child's birthday party. There were an awful lot of kids in there. The staff working there seemed good and were working hard but there weren't enough of them. So it meant drinks and things were slow, and they had to be reminded about my sons lunch after they'd given the other kids food. I've heard good things from people who have been other times, so I'd go back, but if it's as bad again then I wouldn't bother.

Nice chain pub, with easy access from two trunk roads. Large free carpark, low priced special offers on menu during day time. Large and comfortable dining area.

I open stores all over the country and Premier Inns that have a Brewer's are my prefered choice. But I have to say that the Sunderland team are the friendliest bumch I have come across and even the food is really good.... big thumbs up guys!

Staff on today are great. Happy to offer alternatives for those with diet requirements. Food is hot, nicely cooked and spot on.
