Swimming, running/athletics track, tennis centre, football pitches, and a park to walk around. Parkruns on a Saturday, junior park runs on a Sunday so good space for locals. Sometimes has youths on scramblers!
It’s fine but it’s absolutely full to the brim with 10-13 year olds standing about. Sure you used to have to be 16.
Good facilities, polite and helpful staff. Excellent for what it is. I use the swimming pool regularly and it's always clean and not overly crowded in the lanes.
Always good to have a stand however there was lots of grass areas for deck chairs and tents
It is a very intriguing park and has everything that someone may need to exceed in their sportive life as there is football,tennis and Athletics . The centre can really push someone's potential and some of the individual groups can put you on the path to fame and recognition
Brilliant gym,small,overcrowded,free for students ,a meeting ground for pensioners who sit on machines for 30-40 minutes a time,staff allow anybody to just walk in unchallenged from the street ,equipment usually broken and they even allow 12 year olds kids in the gym and on the weights unsupervised,you can never get a morning spin class as they have scrapped almost all of them and staff nowhere to been seen!
Today I went to the pool for the first time after having been in a coma for 7 weeks. The staff were superb and I found out I couldn’t swim, sank like a brick. However I walked round the edges, ventured across the middle, had a little float and repeated. I was offered floats etc and knowing the staff were there for me made all the difference. I’m going again next week.
Great community area with the tennis centre, lifestyle gym, running track and athletic building and just all around a great park for dog walkers etc
Great swim! Friday night lane swim, plenty of room for everyone. Anyone who's written a bad review should try swimming at West Kirby concourse, where I've previously had to get out due to lack of space / inconsiderate swimmers. Great to swim in a 50m pool.
Gym can get busy noon time but generally no real wait for equipment. Pretty clean, good gym etiquette from most. Friendly, helpful staff.
