Friendly staff and neighbourhood platinum membership is a great deal to opt for. You have access to book Badminton & Squash courts and to use the swimming pool & Gym along with other activities as per their schedule. Few activities will cost extra on top of the membership but most of them are free to access. One drawback is no swimming class for adults at this centre.
Went to swim with the kids, each section is 1hr, kids swim for free, adults have to pay, sorry didn't get the prize , would do next time and the place is clean compared to the negatives reviews I saw online before going there, great staffs and friendly receptionist too, the changing area too is clean, now you can use a basket and carry your things into the swimming area than using the lockers, generally it was a great experience, would visit again
Been swimming here for about a year now. Very dated facilities but the pool is quite good and does the job if it's open when you can get there. The problem is the times are quite restrictive. Opens at 7:30am which is just too late to get a swim in before work. It's only open in the evening past 6:30pm 3 times a week so there's basically 3 sessions a week anyone with normal working hours can make it. No swim on Saturday. I've also sometimes gone and there's no lane ropes out despite them usually being there and even though 5+ of us are trying to swim lengths. A few of us asked about the ropes as people were getting in our way just standing in the middle of the pool and we were told it's not a "training pool", whatever that is. Swimming lengths is a completely normal way to use a swimming pool and 4 lanes only take up half the pool, leaving enough room for everyone so I see no reason why they shouldn't always be out. I've never gone to the pool where there hasn't been people swimming lengths or trying to so removing the ropes makes no sense. There's a few regulars who think once they've got a lane it's theirs to keep and refuse to swim in circles to allow more than 2 people in a lane. The lifeguards refuse to get involved and say it's a "public swim" so they can't tell people how to swim. So apparently people can treat it like their private pool. Seems like the lifeguards don't want to rock the boat with the regulars. Either that, or they're mates, or they just don't care. But a public pool means it needs to be shared by all and swimming circles is how it happens in any other pool I've ever been to in the world. No one can refuse to share a lane with someone. I've paid to enter but I can't swim, ridiculous.
The Place looks alright. Have a great sise pool that unfortunately is really limited in what hours of the day and days of the week it is possible to use it. If it would not be for that it would be a 5* center. It does also have a gym also open on specific hours during the day and loads of different varieties of classes to follow.
The whole family had a great time using their pool for 1 hour. Only adults had to pay, while kids got to enjoy the pool for free. The staff were very welcoming and polite. Life guards were also very polite and kind while communicating with those who were breaking the rules while using the pool. Overall, I highly recommend it, just make sure to check the schedule online.
Friendly and great services. It will sadden me of the council do away with this when more than 300 children swim here each week.
Good monthly price swimming pool. And decent little gym
I've gone to Everton Park for nearly 30 years on & off, first time though that I've been to the Thursday night Aquafit class at 7pm in at least 3 years as I usually go to Alsop nowadays. I tell you what though I won't be going back to their Tuesday classes anymore as Sarah in the Everton Park class was absolutely amazing, literally the best aquafit class I've ever done, it was a really good work out by an instructor who genuinely felt invested in you & not bored out of her tree! Jason & Sam also do excellent aquafit classes Mondays & Fridays at Alsop. Everton is looking very tired now but cleaner than Alsop. One thing I love about Lifestyles is it really has a community spirit. Most of the staff are brilliant, Colin is an absolute credit to you, his classes are great & he is very dedicated. I'm enjoying exercise for the first time in my life. Small moan - Please fix the lockers in Everton Park & the cubicles in Alsop don't all lock & can you please open the female only changing rooms, you often have to queue in Alsop it's that busy! otherwise amazing value for money. Thank you
Old, could do with a lick of paint, but good facilities on my doorstep and great monthly price, can't really fault it
Good value for swimming .. always crowded though can barely swim when in the adult swim, no system in place for overcrowding and booking ahead literally means nothing But the thing that brings you back is the the staff are lovely .. life guards are always there and in high spirits which is the redeeming quality
