Just think twice before buying a membership. First go and check everything. I don't want to say it is a bad bad place..maybe not the worst in Liverpool.. swimming pool is big and if you gonna do training it is good. But the bad side is that the swimming pool is not always clean. Sometimes some stuff on the bottom of the swimming pool stays there for weeks. Also shower cabins look like from the previous century, little holes inside and not too clean as well..Changing rooms are very dirty in some places on the walls. Steam room working time after time...And last time I was a little bit angry because the open swim should be until 11 am. And there was only one announcement on reception which was impossible to see. But even then they start to tell people that they have to leave at 10.30. And IMPORTANT ask about is it going to work everything what including your price in a few next months. Because that happened to me. I bought swimming pool membership for £30 I choose it purposely because the swimming pool has a hot sauna. Without sauna I could go just for swimming for £20 .And the first few days everything was all right but after they closed the sauna. It was information from the worker that it will take 2 weeks. Now it has already passed 4 . I went to reception and asked if could they give me a refund or a little discount on next month. I explained all the situations. But the manager didn't want to hear anything. He said that I have to say thank you to him that the sauna is closed now, because later it will be a better new sauna and it is good for us. And that I pay £30 only for the swimming pool and SAUNA IS just EXTRA. And that if I don't like here I can try their different centers...but the problem in a different their centers was i size of swimming pool, distance from home, and working hours.I needed exactly this one..The manager didn't want to listen this...So they don't do any REFUNDS and not very helpful ..So think twice before you buy membership for 3 months. Maybe it is not the worst place to compare with another...but still has a lot of disadvantages and things that need to improve.
I’ve been using the Gym for a few months now. Nothing to complain. Very clean and staff is very friendly. It’s a small gym with few equipments thought. It can get very busy around 5pm-6:30pm. Nevertheless, for the price is an overall good facility.
Tbh I’ve been using the gym a while but I’m not happy with the price point considering how small the space actually is, the outdated equipment and in general how far out it is in terms of location. But what made me stop going altogether was my last encounter at the gym. I could hear that another member discuss me with a fitness instructor/employee. What made it worse was them blatantly staring at me. I’m a 22 year old female and i don’t feel safe if that’s the type of men, that you choose to employ.
Love it. As long as my Fibro allows, I love going and it helps with my pain. Next week I'm going to try the pool with my pool 'weights' to do some exercises.
Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Pool is always clean and nice temp. Centre itself needs a good detail clean and a handy man to pick up odd jobs.
The place is like older and smell worse, no clean at all, the manager is very smaller rude, the parking is not enough sometimes, the toilet is dirty every single day and too expensive. Avoid this place
Enjoyable gym and swim busy at opening time 6.30am but still able to get a work out done before work with a nice steam and sauna after overall good for small workouts.
Need better opening hours for the free swim pool as working families will struggle to use this place very clean and lovely place helpful and kind
A great sports centre with ample parking.
Staff need to be aware that waiting 20 minutes to sign up is not acceptable and serving 4 different people who were behind me just adding insult to injury. No explanation of where changing rooms were, no explanation of whether or not you need a padlock/coin for the lockers and no mention that the changing area is mixed. It's such a pity because the pool was nice, it has lots going on for the local community and it is really close to me.
