I am very disappointed about the shop. I bought my bike here five years ago and brought it in for an expensive maintenance (45 pounds) every year since. This year, I was told to completely overhaul my bike and they charged the price of a new bike. What is more, their most recent maintenance deteriorated the quality of the bike, with my gears stop working and my breaks now constantly touching the bike wheel. It is hard to believe how this shop continues to be in business; and to a year long customer, I judge their business practices to be unethical. Moreover, don't trust the number of five star reviews. Who in earth would only rate a bike shop on google maps - and nothing else? And most of the five star reviews are from these one-review individuals. Adjusting for the 5-star bias makes this bike shop the worst rated bike shop in Oxford. Consumer, be aware. ps: Do read about the other complaints about this shop online. I am by far not the only complaining customer.

Walton street solved my bikes issues quickly and effectively. The problem was really in my lack of knowledge that pedals unscrew clockwise and counter clockwise. Goddamn. The service was to the point but friendly enough. They replaced a peg in the pedals I’d brought in and fitted them with grease to ensure they would be easier to take off next time. It was reasonably priced considering the small scale of the job and they saved me from breaking another spanner, which I would almost invariably have done. The guy who served me actually offered me advice on how to make sure I do it correctly next time in a flatteringly unpatronising way. I would go back to Walton Street, it’s been my local bike shop for years.

Really helpful - explained all about kids' bikes and how the islabike/frog thing is a gimmick. Steered me towards a heavy tough bike and I'm firmly back on track not to waste any money on a lighter bike for my kids. Cheers big man for the free advice.

Very disappointing experience. Gentleman running this place is very rude and unhelpful. Expensive and poor service. Avoid this place if possible.

Very unpleaseant staff. Dont want to sell you anyting and have absolutly no knowledage about bikes.
