First time here and the food was lovely. My fish was a tad overdone as it was very, very crunchy but the rest of my meal was great. My daughter had the chicken, chips and coleslaw. She said it was amazing with bbq sauce which was dripping over the chicken. Lots of sauce for a change which was enough to dip the chips in too. We attended on a Thursday so we picked the "Free dessert" option. We were amazed on how thick the piece of cake was served! We couldn't eat it all. It was a nice meal after a long 5 hour drive in a car. Thank you
We popped in as a group on a Sunday, the person seating us didn't seem overly pleased to see more customers but thankfully that was the only bit of negativity. Food arrived on time and was good, and kids polished off their fish fingers and chips and got to play on the outside playground. The pub is not the tidiest, but then again we did visit early afternoon on a Sunday...! The outside could also do with a lick of paint. Lots of options on the menu and a few offers to be had if you come on a particular day and fancy a particular dish. Overall a good experience, would certainly visit again especially if we have kids in tow! NOTE: We were very hungry so whilst I took a picture of some halloumi fries I did forget to take a picture of main meal - as mentioned above, kids had fish fingers and chips, which they finished. Wife had the chicken kebab which she struggled to finish and I had the Sunday special burger which came with roast potato's and gravy! Mine was nice but I could have done with a bit more gravy!
Excellent value for money. £9 for a Super plate or Mix it up deal meal on Saturday. If you've got Blue Light card can even save more. Drinks are standard pricing but what you save on food balances it all out. Food amazing too. Large party of us and all enjoyed it.
Brilliant food. Brilliant polite professional staff. Clean tables, properly wiped down. Customer service is excellent. Food is cooked correctly. Well worth a visit. Best around area. Keep up the high standard - well done to all the staff & manager.
Firstly, food was beautiful. Despite a pretty long wait the food really was nice for everyone. We were a table of 15 which had a lot of children. Food bought out together and good temperature. So big thumbs up to the chef. Bar staff brilliant but a star less for the service by the food staff. No cutlery, went to get some and they said they would bring it up. Still none. No one asked how meals were, one of the children asked if they could have some cheese to go with pasta, women’s attitude was rude and abrupt. Said she would check but never came back. Approached the same lady about 10 mins after, but was told we would have to go bar and order it. Had we have been told this straight away we would have. Poor customer service there. But overall okay.
I visit here quite a bit and it has always been good. Nice food and good value for money. Staff are all really nice and friendly also.
The children's wacky warehouse is disgusting very dirty and run down the toilets are filthy! We ordered Sunday dinner which was absolutely foul! Dessert was good but we won't be going again.
Welcoming traditional food fare don't have curry unless ur wanting a water sauce with no flavour 2 /10 pie crust solid abd dense with 5 bits of steak in it 3 /10 mixed grill 6 /10 get what u pay for. Toffee pudding 4 spoons worth drowned in custard . Microwave to lava temperature. U have been warned
Food was good, had we known that there was a Quiz night on we would have gone on another night . My Dad is deaf and it was very loud it interfered with his hearing aids so we couldn't really talk to him. Staff very good food came out quickly
The food was really tasty! With very reasonable prices and a great variety of menus on weekdays. Surely I'll return!
