We booked The Dam Inn's function room for our daughter's Christening party and we were overwhelmed by the level of professionalism and the quality of the service and food. Josh and his team pulled out all the stops and truly gave us a magical day! Given that we requested the room on Easter Sunday and knowing the kitchen staff would have been run of their feet, the food was plentiful and absolutely gorgeous. There were more than enough staff on hand to serve drinks and they were keen to ask if we had everything we needed. A truly first class experience and all our guests commented on how fantastic the day had been. We can't thank you enough for making our daughter's day very special! 5 stars well deserved!
So went in for the first time in ages. I live local. They have a new Manager. They say a new broom sweeps clean and he has. Great welcome for me and my dog. Staff so friendly and helpfull. Great selection of food and beers. Thank you.
Lovely pub and restaurant. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, Made us feel at home. Food great, wide range of ales beers etc Quiz night on Thursday is great fun too! Stop in if passing by. Even has seats beside a fireplace if you are lucky! We will return next time working that way again for sure!!!!
Lovely pub for a sunday carvery. Lots of choice on the menu. Nice walk around newmiller dam only a couple of minutes away. Would recommend this pub for food
Nice place to eat and very lovely staffs the food is really great
we arrived late lunch on 2:40pm Friday. we ordered the mixed grill. the steak was bit tough. the rest of meats were ok. fries were crispy. the sticky toffee pudding with custard was delicious but I wished that the pudding portion was larger. I noted the 10% service charge was added on my bill but there was no written statement on their menu, so i asked to remove the service charge on my bill.
Absolutely smashing carvery! Couldn’t have asked for more. Super friendly staff and very welcoming. Massive portions and huge, fluffy Yorkshire’s - delicious food! Will deffo be back! Thank you
Took my mum, husband and 2 grandchildren for a meal today. The table we were given was very sticky, not sure what cleaning products are used, but may need changing. My granddaughters meal was fish fingers, chips and beans. The beans were cold and we asked for it to go back. The waiter asked if we wanted the meal warming up or a fresh meal! Seriously! We got a fresh meal. When the bill came, I had to ask for the childrens meal to be taken off which should have been done automatically. And then expected to pay £5.45 tip, which I also asked to come off. The other meals were nice, hence 3 stars. Perhaps waiting stuff should be given training how to deal with problems
Very dog friendly, good food and drinks. Even blue wicked!
Opened at noon, you can eat in the bar or restaurant. We chose the restaurant. Very attentive staff, explained the 2 mains for @£12 and specials. Ordered the gammon and babyribs. Huge portions, very tasty . No space left for dessert. Delicious
