A lovely, traditional pub in an absolutely beautiful location. The views outside are fantastic. The service was speedy and the two staff that we spoke to were friendly and polite. Our drinks were perfect. The weather was extremely hot, so we sat outside in the shade of a large tree. A pleasure that we look forward to repeating.
My favourite local pub! Traditional surroundings and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with real fires in the bar and front lounge. Serves real ales at a good price and the food is lovely. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints!
A traditional cozy pub within a stunningly beautiful area, lots of seating outside with lovely views. A great place to visit particularly in the Spring/Summer to enjoy a drink and maybe some traditional pub food. In the Winter a warm fire welcomes you along with friendly and helpful staff. This venue also provides various events throughout the year. A lovely place to visit.
Dog friendly pub, but only in the hard floor areas. Meals can be eaten in little snug rooms. Real coal fire in the room we were in and candlelight made the place really cosy.
Quiz might at The Kings Arms. Lovely warm and cosy, everyone friendly and welcoming. Nice Yon Lager , open fire, nibbles and chilli and fries. What more do you want on a dank and windy night. Highly recommended.
A Takeaway menu is available. We stopped here while doing a walk and shared a fish butty and chips WOW. Absolutely amazing. Fresh fried fish and a super soft barm. What I think were triple cooked chips.....awesome. some tartar sauce.....delicious. Very friendly and welcoming. There was a steady flow of people of which some sat in their cars eating while looking over the common.
Always a pleasure to visit, so many memories over many decades, and especially when visiting now since we live in Worcestershire. Such succulent and tender beef in the delicious pie, lovely proper mushy peas and fab sticky toffee pudding like Yorkshire treacle toffee. Only other thing to add: PLEEEEEEASE... put the gravy in a jug rather than all over the pastry top. I really dislike a plate swimming in gravy making soggy pastry and chips. Please give people a choice...
Newly re-opened after the second Covid lockdown, it was a delight to see so many happy faces enjoying the Spring sunshine in the ample seating areas. Table service only, unless it was a bottle you were after, and a bit of a wait, but we chose to sit and chat. Why not!
Perfect! Arranged a large booking recently and service was wonderful. Good was delicious, speedy and a great size. Couldn't have asked for better!
It's a lovely old pub set in a great location. Excellent real ales but the food let it down. Overcooked duck and pork steaks. The steak pie filling was delicious but let down by a thin square of shortcrust placed on top if it
