The one star is for the beach location. After taking a booking which was confirmed i drove up in the evening only to be rudely told to leave the site there and then by the rudest man I have ever come across. Even though they took my booking that didn't seem to matter to the person who I've since found out later is the owner. I would recommend any of the other camp sites on Mersea. Which by the way is lovely. Steer well clear of Seaview.

It's a nice place to visit and stay lots of things to do nearby on the lovely mersea island.

This was our first touring experience, so we were overjoyed with the facilities on offer and perfect location right by the beach. We were greeted with a warm welcome despite our late arrival by the owners who were very friendly, and left us to our own devices with reassurance should we need anything. The whole site is extremely neat, clean and maintained to a high standard. A beautiful place, we hope to visit again.

The café gets top marks from me for polite service and great food at prices to fit your pocket...open throughout the year...

If you want a wonderful breakfast or brunch go visit they do the best balance of food and the eggs ate always done right parking is Good you get a hour free then it's only 20p for the next the atmosphere is relaxed toilets and cafe it's self is kept clean recommend you go
