I was very impressed by service I got here. I haven't been on a train for well over 20 years and, due to my disability, was very nervous. But with the help of some fantastic staff I made it to Doncaster and back and I had help at both stations . Shall definitely be travelling by train again.
100% better than it used to be that being said maybe someone checking the concourse seating area for crap on the seats would be welcome and even though it's new-ish replacing the broken seats, how they get damaged is anyone's guess but still. Staff well presented and friendly, it's tidy and the whole area is relatively clean.n From me.
With a long & winding history in visiting & occasionally experiencing this renowned yorkshire railway station that's come along, long way since it first cae about decades ago,nnWakefield Westgate railway station, of whom newly modern & right up to date over the years, cleverly serves the wesgate area of the city behind it's name, as well as it's nature,nnIn the past, the station once had a clock tower of whom now long gone, along with few original historic buildings, leaving at leat one or two of whom long put to good use as part of the station's present-day modern update within the 21st century,nnVarious passenger trains come, as well as pass through i nboth directions, still a perfectly captivating trainspotting destination to behold.
I live close by, so I always use this train station. It's always clean and everything works like clockwork. There are toilets, cafes, waiting areas, lifts from the ground floor to the first floor if you have suitcases. Everything is great.
