I went to the Beckenham branch to choose some cheeses for a cheeseboard I was doing for a BIG birthday. This was my first time doing a cheeseboard, and I didn't know where to start. I walked away with everything I could need for the entire cheeseboard, from a range of exquisite cheeses, to ALL the accompaniments and also a very clear idea of how to present it all too. This was all thanks to Terry at the cheese counter, whose helpfulness was second to none. It took out all the stress of it and was just a joy to be someone who knew his stuff and passionately shared his know-how. Suffice to say, the cheese board was beautiful and throughly appreciated!
I am so glad I visited this branch, they had an amazing variety which I have not seen at other branches like the dry aged beef cabinet and they also sell gigha cheese.nAfter shopping, you can also take part in the The Waitrose charity coin vote system.nIt is located conviently by the tram stop but even better if you have a car.
Good stock for the Christmas chaos, busy but no queues and the staff were very friendly. The booze section was great with good selection and not overpriced. The car park was a bit chaotic but as to be expected running up to Christmas.
This is not the first, nor the second, nor even the third time that I have noticed this person who works as a security guard at the entrance. He is a dark-skinned, short, elderly man, and repeated problems have occurred with him, the most recent being on Sunday, September 28.nnI have observed that he frequently causes issues with people and deliberately hides the badge he wears on his chest so that his name is not visible. By doing this, he is clearly aware that his behavior is inappropriate. Today, he went further by directing inappropriate religious remarks at me, which is considered conduct punishable by law.nnI kindly request that the management intervene and address this person’s behavior urgently, as allowing this to continue will only lead to further problems in this establishment.
Sandra, one of the staff in Waitrose, made mine and my partners shopping experience amazing. She was so kind and lovely and such a friendly face to have in store, this branch is very lucky to have her!nPS We loved the shrimp pizza x
