Such a wonderful stay at Castle Cottages. We visited for my sisters 30th Birthday and loved every minute! The views of the castle from the cottage were breathtaking and the walk to the village through the castle grounds was just wonderful. The cottage had everything we needed and was so peaceful and relaxing. I would highly recommend a stay Castle cottage. Special thanks to the amazing Fiona who was so very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We really couldn't have asked for more.
We stayed here as a shooting party for 2 nights in December 2016. The cottage itself is set in the spectacular castle grounds and was nice and quiet. Our stay was very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all 8 of us for a sit down meal on Saturday night. We also loved the open log fire. Fiona was incredibly helpful in organising our stay and catering to our requirements. Thoroughly recommended!
My wife and I stayed at the cottage for 10 days when we got married at Wadhurst Castle in April and we had a fantastic time. Fiona was so friendly and helpful during our stay and the cottage itself felt like it became our second home. There are wonderful views across the beautiful castle walled garden extending beyond to the Sussex countryside and the cottage garden out the front is very pretty and well kept. The cottage itself is very well equipped and we loved having different sets of friends over during our stay for country walks and socialising in the large living space the cottage offers. The log fire was a nice bonus as well and there were so many ideas of things to do/walks to go on in the multitude of leaflets and brochures provided. We were so sad to leave at the end of our stay but we'd love to come back at some point in the future :
Beautiful views outside obviously in a good day. Lots of "rules" fir wedding venue guests re: collection of car by 10.30 am etc. Quite shabby chic inside. Only one toilet fir guests use. Staff very polite
Gorgeous cottage right in the grounds of Wadhurst Castle where we were getting married. The cottage is spacious with large living areas and bedrooms and was well equipped and clean. Would definitely recommend
This is a 3 star cottage that needs investment, particularly in the bathroom and downstairs toilet. They advertise as a dog friendly cottage but the rules on having them there are extensive and the tiny courtyard inadequately secured with five bar gates. Very easy for dogs to get through. Don't be fooled into thinking you will have access to nice large courtyard garden. We were lectured upon arrival and felt uncomfortable during our stay. They should simply just say No Dogs Allowed and then everyone would be less stressed. The £100 deposit routine is outdated and unnecessary. We stay in a lot of cottages and this was very disappointing.
Beautiful cottage with great living areas, large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Stunning views of the castle. Wouldn't think twice before coming again.Rooms: 5/5
A beautifully characterful cottage in the grounds of the castle which was perfect for the grooms immediate family. Spacious, well equipped and comfortable.
Absolutely gorgeous place would definitely stay here again brilliant for dogs lovely grounds shops and pubs with in easy distance very nice to find tea milk and breakfast food
Perfect for a family get away....amazing views and a beautiful votrafe with all the amenities you need. Home away from home.
