I don't visit the surgery often but all the staff I've dealt with, on the phone or otherwise have been lovely. I recently sought advice & treatment from a pharmacist about a rash on my upper chest & neck as trying to get an appointment 'when you need one' is nigh on impossible & I'm not sure a telephone appointment is much help when something needs to be looked at! The rash eased greatly & then came back with a vengeance, so, I decided to try the 9am walk in clinic. What a ridiculous system it is, I got to the surgery about 8.45, there was one other person waiting. Lots more turned up in the next 15mins & when the announcement went up that the walk in was now open, it was kind of a free for all to get to the counter, by the time I'd stood up, the queue was long! A very kind gentleman who'd been sat waiting near me said "you were before me" & gestured for me to queue in front of him. I was so very grateful & thanked him, he then said "I think you ought to be able to take a ticket when you get here" & I agree 100%! I turned up early as I get a little anxious when I have to wait a while near groups of people & had this kind man not let me in front of him I would've been waiting ages!!! The slip of paper they give you once you've reached the front of the queue & given your details does mention that you may not be seen in order of your arrival, which again is not great if you turn up early! This visit literally reminded me of GP visits from my childhood, when people didn't have appointments & just turned up & waited, at least then, you gave your details on arrival & we're seen in order unless you wanted to see a specific doctor!!!!
This practice needs looking into by NHS ENGLAND, it’s a disgrace how they are treating there patients, my toddler had bronchitis and had to sit and wait 2.5 hour to see a nurse laid in my arms. What a sham it is.Even a staff member told me she’s not seen anything like it in her whole time in her career What a joke SORT IT OUT!
Took 22 days to get a telephone appointment for someone who had a heart attack and subsequent emergency surgery. What a discrace! Went again today to this place with Terrible service and smug staff , to collect a prescription for pain killers only to be told it had been refused , so reception put in another request, now an emergency! I asked what difference that would make and why we had not been contacted and informed the medication had been refused with no alternate offered, as I cannot walk without the medication ! The Doctor was there !! All I asked was will my prescription be approved as I only have enough medication for today /tomorrow, I was told phone back after 6.00 to find out , leaving me no time to organise something from somewhere else . In addition I will probably get another letter about emergency requests! Badly run, with smug staff . This is not in my opinion how vulnerable people should be treated . Mike
I just had a "consultation" with the nurse practitioner. After a full hysterectomy I have experienced multiple issues after my surgery and had visited today regarding further concerns/complications. The nurse would not let me talk and explain that I have just had major surgery and I felt completely ignored. The nurse rushed the appointment and completely dismissed my worries. It is a shame that some people choose care as a career path that - yet can be so dismissive and unhelpful. I have never been treated so awfully by another professional, really upset and disappointed.
Need shutting down. Waiting on results for a blood clot and for 3 weeks there’s been ‘no appointments’. Receptionist is so rude, cocky and unprofessional. Been ringing twice a day for 3 weeks. Please explain how all your daily appointments disappear in the first 5 minutes of the day? I ended up having to go to A&E due to not being seen. Sort yourselves out. Receptionists are quite happily sat there with a cuppa chatting about their weekend or whatever whilst the phones are ringing off. Complete disgrace of a surgery.
Absolutely disgusting! The reception staff are rude and uncaring. The drs and nurses would rather put you in a&e than do their job! Denied my prescription for insulin, denied an actual appointment by gp!
It has been a rough time for all of us but I have felt quite sorry for the staff here. People being demanding and difficult! The receptionists are working so hard. Pleade be kind. We've all had problems getting through.
Seriously terrible, no call queue so you have to ring up non stop for 40 minutes in hope to get through for an appointment before they are fully booked. This is impossible to do if you have a job or any sort of responsibility through the week. Simply trying to get in touch to get my prescription sent is nearly impossible. You can only call for same day appointments. Reception is never available to speak to outside booking same day appointments. GP practises are privately run and contracted by the NHS, one of the many reasons they fail to provide adequate services time and time again.
It’s virtually impossible to see a doctor at this place, nobody ever gets through on the phone for the morning appointments so your only option is to turn up at 8am and cue, because everyone knows that they don’t answer the phone we all have have to stand in the cue for 30 mins that stretches out of the doors of the building and watch reception bat people away one by one with a telephone appointment to decide over the phone weather you can see a doctor or not. This place is supposed to be providing a service that is meant to help people but their ways only frustrate you into seeking help elsewhere. There practices want looking into!
They are never answering the phone it is put on the side and when you drive there the receptionist says sorry you should have called at 8am, no appointment available. When you say you kept calling since 8 they state it is busy, but there are bearly any ppl inside. Today same story and they also said they are closing earlier today and closed on Friday because all of them are going to a funeral. Does the funeral last an entire day from 8am to 6pm? I daubt so. They also diagnosed me in incorrectly and were prescribing medication for something I never had and this caused an emergency operation for me during Xmas...
