Excellent venue for a real ing event. Venue staff were very helpful. Catering of the event was good, and again venue staff were very pleasant and helpful. Setting is quite central and reasonably easy to get to. Parking at and around venue was ample. The museum is definitely worth a look offering an insight into life and work in the north east. Would recommend.

On a cold, wet day, this started well and got better! Free car parking for visitors, friendly welcome in coffee shop / ticket office, excellent layout, explanations and videos of exhibits and history, even better tour by volunteer guide. Find out what a "kettle biler " was! And ticket lasts a year and includes HMS Discovery exhibition. Allow a couple of hours or more if you're keen.

The staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable they bring character and life to the museum. The museum is well laid out with lot's to see and touch. And you get a real feel of the works and the times..

Fantastic museum with great guide/interpretation staff. Tells the story of the jute mills that dominated Dundee through the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Working spinning/weaving equipment and an original Watt/Boulton beam engine.

One word fantastic. Definitely should be on your tick list of places to visit whilst in Dundee. It was a fascinating insight into a material for weaving that I had never heard of before - jute. Would highly recommend this as a place to visit and if you can definitely join one of the Machine Tours as that was fantastic.
