Lovely, free and plenty to see, read and appreciate historically. Dundee Council do a really nice job in running this castle. Lots for kids to enjoy, including the very narrow spiral staircase to each floor. It also has a small gift shop and toilets too. Cannot recommend enough!

Lovely views out over the river and the beach from the top of the tower. Interesting exhibits on several levels in the tower. Steep climb to the top so not suitable for visitors with mobility issues. Lots of things to interest kids. Friendly helpful staff.

Interesting museum which I suspect a large percentage of Dundonians have never thought to visit.   It only took me 50 or so years! Well worth a visit.

Great Castle museum!!

GOOD: free entry, lots for kids to do (like colouring stuff), and also lots for the family to learn about like local artists, castle life & wildlife

BAD: it can be a short visit
