Took our order at 8pm and still no food by 9.45..so we left, weren't the only table complaining, another family there from 7.30 and no food by the time we left. Its pizza !!!! Staff not very apologetic wouldn't even make eye contact us...never be back
Despite some issues with my meal very overcooked steak I did enjoy my dinner at this place. The staff were very friendly and replaced my meal promptly as well as offered a discount at the end. In the end the steak was tasty. Also, very good onion rings. My friend got a pizza which was very good. Would go back again but just for a pizza;
We had a fabulous meal tonight. The trio of fish was outstanding. Salmon, cod and monkfish cooked in garlic butter served with seared lemon...would give any fish restaurant a run for their money! And the pizzas are simply THE BEST. I had goats cheese, sun dried tomatoes , pepperoni and jalapeno .Our waiter Samuel couldn't have been more attentive. And all the other staff made us feel most welcome and valued.
Stumbled across VR whilst checking Google Maps as I was passing Newry, Southbound on the A1. Food was OUTSTANDING. Smokehouse Platter was so tender and tasteful. Very reasonably priced and staff very friendly. Didn't have a lot of time to explore Warrenpoint and its fine harbour but a revisit to VR will easily justify this detour. Thank You to the Chef and Front Room staff at VR for a very enjoyable meal. A hidden gem in my opinion.
Booked a table for party of 6 Saturday night 7.30 on arrival we were told they had no record of our booking...stuck us in a corner at a wobbly table and broken chairs..service was terrible all night as staff where running around like headless chickens..had to keep calling staff over to get served..on the plus side the food was delicious when it eventually arrived..
Had a few pizzas there whilst on holiday, outstandingly good grub!
Ordered medium to well sirloin and was well over cooked so I sent it back. The chef sliced it in half and sent it back to me with the notice that the centre of the steak was medium to well no bigger than a two pence piece and it didn't matter about the rest. The food in here is really nice, I have been here a few times. Its my own fault anyway this is an Italian restaurant and I ordered steak I should have known.
You simply cannot beat this place. It's a first class venue for a simple pizza, an event for the entire family, a reception, you name it. Service with a smile always and never a bad meal served. Cannot fault in any way.
Had the buffalo, rocket, parma ham pizza... Aw it was OUTSTANDING!!!!! Really excellent staff and they adhered to the 2m rules. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing pizza, very nice truffle chips. Very good Italian atmosphere. Full of people. Great recommendations!
